: Fenimore Street & Nostrand Avenue

On the south side of Fenimore Street stands a three-story, red-brick Queen Anne–style building dating back to 1896. Notice the round-arched windows, brick pilasters, and accentuated keystones.

More than a century later, it still brings a touch of 19th-century craftsmanship to the heart of Brooklyn.

This features a 1909 postcard of Public School 92, located on what was once Robinson Street before it became Parkside Avenue. At the time, farmland was gradually giving way to residential development. Constructed in 1905 by the City of New York and designed by architect A. W. Ross, the school is a notable example of the Colonial Revival architectural style.

This showcases the original blueprints of 305, 307, and 309 Lefferts Avenue. Designed by the architect Benjamin Driesler and built by Realty Associates in 1912.

The buildings have flat roofs and are three floors high, each with three sections and elevated basements. They’re made of red bricks arranged in a simple pattern, with touches of limestone for trim. The entrances have double glass-paneled metal doors and small windows above them. These are framed by limestone decorations with angled lintels and central keystones. The windows also have similar angled stone lintels. Each row house features windows with one-over-one sash designs. A short set of three steps leads up to each doorway.
