One of the many unique experiences available at The Black Man’s Health Festival® is the opportunity to tour the historic Hunterfly Road Houses at Weeksville Heritage Center.

These historic homes offer a powerful glimpse into the story of Weeksville—one of the largest free Black communities in pre-Civil War America.

Cassie Heyliger is a licensed marriage and family therapist whose work focuses on emotional wellness, relationships, and mental health support.

She brings a clinical and compassionate lens to conversations around intimacy, connection, and how we show up in our relationships with ourselves and others.

🏥 Sylvester Foote, PhD, MHA, BSN, RN

Sylvester Foote is a Chief Nursing Officer at Morris Heights Center, with a background spanning nursing, healthcare leadership, and public health administration.

His work centers on improving health outcomes, advancing equitable care, and strengthening healthcare systems that serve diverse communities.

Ali Wright is a health advocate and Co-Owner of Brooklyn Tea.

Through his work in wellness and community, he helps bridge culture, health awareness, and everyday practices that support more intentional living—while uplifting conversations around prevention and care in Black and Brown communities.

🎙️ Jei Norris

Jei Norris is the moderator for this conversation and a program advisor with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
