😎 This Saturday, join us in Sunset Park for fun summer vibes, free activities, giveaways, and resources at the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) New York Immigration Coalition’s end-of-year Key to the City community event!

🗓️Saturday, June 13th
⏰12-3 p.m.
📍on 44th St between 5th and 6th avenues at Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Enjoy live music, dance, resources from 30+ organizations, and free lunch from Tacos Modelo .

Stop by the Brooklyn FAM Brooklyn FAM tents for TWO artmaking activities.

🎨 Make your mark with master quilter Sylvia Hernandez on a very special public art project called “Our Community.” The project is a commission from NYIC. Who is our community, and how do we grow it? Add fabric flowers, fruits, leaves, branches, and roots to the flourishing garden of our community on a beautiful 7-foot-long table runner.

🎨 Create a “Shine Your Light” full-size scented candle craft to take home (one per household). How do you shine your light in this world, and how do you inspire others to shine theirs? Draw and write your story on a label for your candle vessel, and let the light shine through.

We can’t wait to see you on Saturday!

🎉We are Brooklyn Arts Council grantees for the 4th year in a row. Thank you, Brooklyn Arts Council !

We love this work. If you’ve been to one of our programs, you know. We are ALL in, and this level of support from the Brooklyn Arts Council is a vote of trust and confidence in our impact that we don’t take lightly.

We are honored to receive three 2026 BAC grants:
🔥Creative Equations Fund for social justice & community impact
🔥Brooklyn Arts Fund
🔥Local Arts Support

With this funding, we continue to center marginalized voices, empower each of us to tell our own stories, and hold safe, welcoming space for all of our communities to share, connect, envision, and create our shared futures together across four generations.

Through the healing, transformative power of the arts, we foster empathy.

♥️ Empathy — heart connection — is the root of social change.

The Creative Equations Fund is underwritten by the Howard Gilman Foundation . The Brooklyn Arts Fund is a regrant of funding from the New York State Council on the Arts . Local Arts Support is a regrant of funding from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs .

🙏🏽 Thank you all for supporting the arts and its universal power to impact community for good.
