📸✨: At the inaugural Black Women Creatives in Sports Summit hosted by Black Women Photographers, Atlanta-based sports photographer Bee Trofort-Wilson () shares the lessons she’s learned along the way in her career.

Bee Trofort-Wilson is a sports and portrait photographer on a journey to motivate and inspire others through imagery and storytelling, showing that strength is beautiful in all forms, not only physical, but mental as well. The key to her portrait work is her use of color and motion. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University, the #1 public university for school of the arts, where she not only received a great art education but participated in numerous opportunities including an internship at People Magazine. In the sports industry, she has worked with organizations such as World Athletics, AMB Sports + Entertainment, and Charlotte FC. Additionally, she has shot campaigns for the CDC, Under Armour, Adidas, AMC, AARP, and more. While creating with people striving to be their best selves, she wants to encourage others to “Bee Fearless” along the way. She opened Bee Fearless Studios in 2020, a rental photography and video studio, to provide equipment and resources for young artist to fearlessly create.

📸✨: At the inaugural Black Women Creatives in Sports Summit hosted by Black Women Photographers, Atlanta-based sports photographer Allie Jest () shares the lessons she’s learned along the way in her career.

Allie Jest is a sports photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia, whose work centers on storytelling, movement, and emotion within women’s sports. For the past four seasons, she has had the privilege of documenting the Atlanta Dream, capturing moments that exist beyond the stat sheet including grit, joy, resilience, and the quiet intensity that defines elite competition. A former Division I athlete, Allie approaches photography with a deep, personal understanding of the discipline and dedication required to compete at the highest level. Her athletic background allows her to anticipate moments others might miss, translating lived experience into visual narrative. Each frame is informed by respect for the athlete’s journey and a desire to honor the unseen work that happens long before game day. Through her lens, Allie aims to elevate women athletes by preserving their stories with intention and care. Her images serve not only as documentation, but as advocacy, celebrating strength, vulnerability, and excellence while challenging how women in sport are seen, remembered, and valued.
