🎷🌿 Jazz in Flatlands once again!

Last Saturday, Serenity Community Garden in Flatlands, Brooklyn became a gathering place for music, neighbors, and community at Jazz in the Gardens, organized and presented by Brooklyn Queens Land Trust (BQLT).

Featuring Eric Lemon & Friends, the afternoon brought the sounds of jazz into one of Flatlands’ community garden spaces.

FFCL was there to participate, photograph, and document another moment of Flatlands civic and cultural life.

🎬🌳 Movies Under the Stars at Amersfort Park

Last week, Amersfort Park brought Flatlands and neighboring communities together for Movies Under the Stars, presented by Council Member Farah Louis and Rooftop Films.

In the heart of Flatlands, I encountered the most astonishing overgrown hibiscus blooms I've ever laid eyes on. Though they stand guarded behind a gate, their vibrant heads reach skyward just like sunflowers, yet indulge in a richer, more lush splendor. Truly, a breathtaking spectacle to see.
