When young people thrive, whole communities flourish.

Join us next Saturday for a youth-centered, intergenerational workshop with the extraordinary Surya Botofasina. Together we'll explore music, mental health, creativity, and connection as pathways toward a more compassionate community.

Families, siblings, cousins, mentors, and neighbors are all welcome. To keep young people at the center of the experience, adults are asked to attend with a child or teenager.

Lunch will be provided for those who register in advance. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows. (Link in bio.)

🍄✨ This past Saturday we got our hands dirty (in the best way) at our mushroom-growing workshop with instructor Taja! 🌱 From substrates to spawn, we learned exactly what mushrooms need to thrive — and guess what? The secret ingredient is WOOD. 🌳👀

Now it’s your turn to try it at home — yes, you can absolutely grow your own mushrooms! 🏡🍄

🌱 Radical Living is back this summer!

Our youth gardening and wellness program is all about slowing down, connecting with the earth, and building community.

This year, we’re focusing on REST—and along the way, youth will:
🌿 Learn to garden
🍴 Cook delicious and nutritious meals
🌍 Explore environmental justice

✨ Lunch is provided every session!
📌 Kids under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

🚫 No session next Saturday.
✅ We’ll meet every Saturday after that until August 31st, the Saturday before school starts.

This Thursday Radical Living and the Brooklyn Peace Center will be hosting a FREE event, open to everyone of all ages! We will have an instructor come and teach us some Self-Defense techniques so everyone can stay safe in these streets. The event will be hosted from 6pm-8pm on Thursday August 20th, 2024 and registration is required!
