Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Community Open House & Project Update "Lunch and Learn" on Saturday, July 11, held in partnership with Pratt Institute Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment (GCPE).

It was wonderful to come together to share the initial results of the Coney Island People's Plan Community Survey, which was completed by 710 members of our community. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate and help shape this important work.

We're excited to share additional findings in the coming months, with the full results expected by Fall 2026.

After a year and a half, the Coney Island People's Plan Survey is coming to a close. This coming Tuesday, June 30, is the final day for Coney Island residents to complete the survey.

It has been a pleasure partnering with Pratt Institute on this important project, which gives residents an opportunity to share the improvements they'd like to see in their community.

Our team will be at the Coney Island Library one last time on Monday, June 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you'd like to complete the survey in person, stop by and receive your $10 Dunkin' gift card on the spot.

If you've already completed the survey but haven't had a chance to pick up your gift card, please stop by on Monday or email us at [[email protected]] to arrange another pickup time at the library.

Exciting News: We’re excited to share a major milestone for the Coney Island People’s Plan Survey, developed in partnership with Pratt Institute.

We’ve now reached 500 community responses — thank you to everyone who has already shared your voice, ideas, and priorities for strengthening Coney Island’s future.

The survey is still open, and we want to hear from even more residents, workers, and community members.

Our board members and staff were honored to visit the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY this week to listen to undergraduate students present on flood resiliency across NYC, including Coney Island. We thank the students and Professor Hillery for inviting us to attend and for their advocacy around this important issue.
