Behind the scenes of what I do as an educator and mentor: Annoucing our $3700.00, "Food Justice" fundraiser for our next food giveaway in May. We're looking to raise these funds by May 1st. My Name is Mr., is one of BAMLA's programs that mentors, young men to become transformative servant leaders in their communities. This happens through developing life-skills, personal responsibility, financial literacy, civic engagement, and group project management along with mentorship . In May, our second cohort is feeding families healthy meals through the Anti-Food Apartheid Mission. This weekend, in East New York Brooklyn, BAMLA will launch our Anti-Food Apartheid Mission. We're handing out free, healthy prepared meals, provided by . This sneakers on the ground campaign is the result of the generosity of our many supporters in our ongoing, social justice, food truck initiative. This Saturday we're also signing up youth between the ages of 9-21yrs for our inaugural leadership programs to fight food inequalities in food deserts and food swamps, to support lifestyles, internships, and potential careers in East New York, Brooklyn.
