In 13 years of rescuing cats I’ve never had a smart litter box. But when reached out to me about a litterbox that could tell me who is using the box, who’s having soft stool, and how often they’re using the box, I jumped. Changes in litter box habits are an important clue if something is wrong. But the Petlibro Luma Smart Litterbox takes the guesswork out of monitoring my cats. AI analyzes their #1 and #2, recognizes up to 10 cats, and sends smart alerts when something seems unusual. More information, less guessing, and a little more peace of mind. Explore Petlibro via the link in my bio.

Pellene continues to be a very special girl 😮‍💨. She was recently diagnosed with a mild case of “swimmers syndrome” ie. legs that are turned out more than they should be. There is no surgery to repair this, and she gets along well in terms of being able to run and play. But long term she is at a very high risk of developing arthritis, an issue that already often comes up with Scottish fold cats. Shes such a special and unique girl and will need an equally special adopter ❤️

We still have a few tickets available for the October 10th screening of Heidi Wrangles Cats Doc at Village East by Angelika! Tickets linked in my bio ❤️

Pellene and Deimos don’t care that they’re over 3 months old, they’re BABY. Many of our breeder rescue cats and kittens have been adopted, but Pellene and Deimos were the smallest so I held onto them the longest. Good thing Belinda is the post patient loving mom. Also Pellene has a health update coming soon, I learned something knew about her this week 👀

I’ll be honest, return day is always my favorite day of any TNR project!

Now it’s time for Anchor and Sail to join the VIP life ❤️

Normally I would never leave behind a pregnant cat. Which is why she was top of my priority list on day 2 of trapping. I’m so glad I was able to trap her so that she can receive a spay abort. One thing I didn’t share about this location, is the horror stories the feeder shared with me that has fallen upon these cats. Numerous kittens have drown in the marina, and Keel herself has had a fishhook stuck in her mouth before. We can prevent so much suffering by giving these cats the gift of a spay abort.

After a long trapping hiatus during our breeder rescue, today I started work on a 10 cat colony living at a marina! The kittens will be socialized for adoption, and the adults will be spayed & neutered, vaccinated, ear tipped, and returned back home.

He can finally breathe 😭. Thank you again to the staff at The Animal Medical Center NYC, his awesome foster mom, and everyone here who donated towards his surgery to fix his stenoic nares ❤️. He’s healing so well and his foster reports he has so much more ENERGY than he’s ever had before. The power of oxygen!!
