We are honored to have Natalia Yurecko as our Never Walk Alone Grand Marshal!

Natalia is Miss Minnesota's Teen 2026, a mental health advocate, classical pianist, and AP Scholar from Minnetonka High School. At age seven, Natalia was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), an experience that inspired her to transform her own story into a mission of helping others.

Through her community service initiative, Obtaining Confidence Daily, Natalia partners with schools, legislators, and nonprofit organizations to increase mental health awareness, expand access to resources, and reduce stigma. She has helped raise more than $300,000 for mental health organizations, while advocating for increased school mental health supports across Minnesota.

Natalia is the lead author of Through Her Eyes: Understanding Anxiety, OCD, and the Truth That You Are Not Broken, a book written to help young people and families feel seen, understood, and hopeful. She is passionate about building communities where every young person knows that they are not broken and feels that they belong.

As Miss Minnesota's Teen, Natalia is honored to use her voice to remind others that they are never alone and that asking for help is a sign of strength.

📣 Gallop for Good Update

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone Gallop for Good until May 2027.

While we’re disappointed that we won’t be gathering this August, we believe moving the event to May will give more people the opportunity to join us, more time to plan, and ultimately allow us to create the kind of event and impact we know Gallop for Good can have.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who registered, supported, shared, sponsored, and believed in this event. 💜 Your support means so much to SOAR and to the young people and communities we serve.

If you registered for the August event, we will be processing refunds for your purchase.

We hope you’ll save the date and join us in May 2027 as we come together to Gallop for Good — bigger, stronger, and with an even greater impact. 🐎💚

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and for believing in our mission.

Today, we are filled with gratitude!

A heartfelt thank you to the Joe Slavin Memorial Foundation, the Maschka family, and the Foss/Kohner family for their incredible generosity. Together, they have donated $4,000 to support SOAR's mission of expanding access to youth mental health resources and creating communities where every young person feels seen, supported, and empowered.

We are especially grateful that they chose to honor Joe Slavin's memory by sharing his story and creating a legacy that will continue to make a difference in the lives of others. We are also deeply thankful to Bella for courageously sharing her own mental health journey. Stories like Joe's and Bella's remind us why these conversations matter and why continuing to invest in mental health support is so important.

Their generosity will help SOAR provide funding for evidence-based mental health programs, training, and resources that equip schools and community organizations to better support the mental health and well-being of young people across Minnesota.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping turn hope into action. Together, we are creating lasting change—one story, one student, and one community at a time. 💙💚 💜

Exciting News!

This transition marks an exciting new chapter as we move forward independently from PrairieCare while building on a decade of meaningful impact.

We are deeply grateful to PrairieCare for their partnership and belief in our mission. Their support helped strengthen school communities across our state.

As SOAR, we’re energized for the future and more committed than ever to expanding access, creating opportunities, and fostering resilience in Minnesota schools.

Join us as we soar into our next decade. New website and social media updates coming soon, stay tuned!

For 10 years, the PrairieCare Fund has believed in one powerful idea: when we invest in mental health, we invest in the future of our communities. Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate a decade of impact across Minnesota schools.

Through the generosity of our donors, partners, and supporters, the PrairieCare Fund has granted more than $1.7 million to support school-based mental health programs and initiatives — helping reach over 100,000 students and staff throughout Minnesota.

These grants have helped schools create safe spaces, expand mental health resources, build resilience, reduce stigma, and ensure students and educators have the support they need to thrive.

This milestone is about more than numbers. It’s about the student who felt seen. The educator who gained tools to support struggling youth. The school community that learned healing and connection matter.

None of this would be possible without the incredible people who have supported our mission over the last 10 years. Thank you for believing that mental health support should be accessible, proactive, and rooted in community.

As we look toward the next decade, the need continues to grow — and so does our commitment to supporting Minnesota schools and the young people they serve.

If you believe every student deserves access to mental health support, we invite you to celebrate our 10-year anniversary with a gift today. Together, we can continue creating healthier schools, stronger communities, and brighter futures.

Donate today and help us continue this life-changing work.

A special and heartfelt thank you to our dedicated board member, Barbara, for bringing this event to life through her leadership and commitment. We are also so thankful to Natalia — the crowned Miss River Valley Teen Queen and proud self-proclaimed OCD Queen — for attending, sharing her story, and helping raise awareness in such an authentic and inspiring way.

We are truly inspired by this partnership and already look forward to coming together again this Fall for another incredible event.
