Delivery is underway for our Mother's Day self care gifts. So many businesses and individuals contributed to make this a lovely variety of self-care items. We couldn't do our work without the support of our incredible community. 💜

Here's my morning exchange with drop off #1. This mama has had surgery, custody issues and landlord problems this year. I know this gift is the levity she needs to keep fighting for herself and her kids. 💐❤️

Our Donations Coordinator, Kim Johnson, has also been busy gathering things for our Mother's Day baskets. Many thanks to Starbucks Maple Grove, Biaggi's, Trader Joe's, Perkins Maple Grove, Nothing Bundt Cakes Maple Grove and Chipotle, Maple Grove for your contributions to our baskets.

Eating out is such a luxury for many people, especially our families, so we are thrilled that our mamas can enjoy some food they didn't have to cook themselves. 💜

One of our volunteers, Barb McGovern, has been putting in a lot of effort soliciting donations for our Mother's Day baskets. We still need items for our Summer Clothing Drive! I know the snow this morning might have you second guessing tank tops and shorts, but it will be warm weather SOON.

Don't have any of our sizes? You can also purchase some needs from our Target wishlist here: https://www.target.com/gift-registry/gift/summerclothingdrive2026

Most wanted items that are not on the Target list ^ would be teen boy athletic wear, especially any name brands like Adidas or Nike, size Men's Medium. We will take any clothes in GOOD, used condition (no holes or stains), with drop sites in:

- Plymouth
- Brooklyn Park
- Excelsior

Please note: We are looking for trendier fashions in the women’s sizes for our young mamas and teen girls. We always have a shortage of options for our teen guys, too!

🌺 🐣 ☔️ Hey friends, it’s that time of year again! Time to take walks, enjoy the sunshine, watch the world slowly come back to life and, most importantly, clean out your closets for Summer Clothing Drive!! We could use help with all of the following:

Boys Clothes:
🧸 We’ve got a new baby boy who’s joined the GH family! He needs 6-9 and 9-12mth clothes. Mama loves to dress him up in sporty stuff like Nike/Jordan etc 😊 but would also gladly take anything good quality. We also need:
👕 4T
👕 8
👕 10
👕 Men’s Medium for teen guys! (Think athletic wear, basketball shorts, etc. Teens also tend to be brand conscious so anything Nike/Jordan/Adidas/North Face etc is always welcome!)

Boys Swimsuits:

🩳 1 Men’s medium

Huge thanks to community member, Hollie Laager Garnhardt, for donating a bag filled with staples for *each* of our mamas. Kim Johnson and Barb McGovern have been working on collecting personal/self care supplies for Mother's Day baskets. Rapha Farms MN has pledged some goat's milk goodies. We're hoping to make Mother's Day special for these incredible survivors. 💜

If you'd like to reach out to local businesses AND can drop off donations with Maddie Marshall by April 25th, send us a message! We have a letter that you can bring when you request donations.

A huge thank you to Janet Preus (pictured) for helping us get a new-to-her vehicle to one of our moms. We had the very patient Nate Rudeen from LEXUS of Wayzata, as well as some behind the scenes work with Glory Of Christ Lutheran Church help get everything lined out with a used vehicle. We are so humbled by everyone's hard work in making this happen so quickly. This was truly a life-changing day for this family. 💜
