Today is Latina Equal Pay Day.

Latinas working full-time, year-round were paid 58 cents, and all earners (including part-time and seasonal workers) were paid 54 cents for every dollar paid to non-Hispanic white men in 2024.

Union contracts help close that gap. Through collective bargaining, we win fair wages, transparency, and protections that lift up all workers, especially those most impacted by pay inequity.

Electronic Shelf Labels could mean more than just changing prices – they could mean fewer jobs.

According to a new study from the AFL-CIO Tech Institute, as many as 191,000 grocery jobs could be eliminated as Electronic Shelf Labels expand across US grocery stores.

Behind every potential job lost is a worker, a family and a community. We can not allow this technology to go unchecked.

Peace Coffee workers are celebrating by wearing their UFCW 663 shirts to work. They’re brewing up something bigger, too. They’re bargaining for better wages, health benefits, and safety at work as they negotiate their second contract with their employer.

“Now I have more hours, healthcare, and I don’t have to worry as much about falling behind on my bills,” said Bahman, a grocery worker at Jerry’s Foods in Edina. “Without my Union, this would not have happened.”

Bahman, along with 14 other UFCW 663 members at Jerry’s Foods won more guaranteed weekly hours and access to our Union healthcare plan after enforcing staffing language in their Union contract.

💲💲 $2,000 in Backpay at Super One 💲💲

Former Apprentice Michael Schmitz at Super One Foods in Baxter just secured nearly $2,000 in backpay and a Journeyman reclassification, increasing his pay by $6.65/hour.

The win came after UFCW Local 663 identified a contract violation involving apprentice-to-journeyman ratios and successfully negotiated a settlement with the employer.

Nearly $2,000 recovered. Higher wages going forward. That's the power of a Union contract. 💪

✊ Thousands in Backpay for JBS Workers in Worthington.

In 2025, JBS terminated a group of members just before the payout date of bonuses they won in their most recent contract. When UFCW 663 member Kelvin discovered what had happened, he reached out to Union staff to take action. Together, the affected JBS members, stewards, and Union staff fought back by filing a class action grievance.

Rob, a journeyman apprentice at Super One Foods in Baxter, just received a $6.65/hour wage increase after getting support from his Union.

His wage went from $22.46/hr to $29.14/hr. Plus, he received $1,165 in backpay.
