Ready to meet your new partner-in-crime? Hi! I’m Hammy, a hound mix with a giant heart, boundless curiosity, and a serious passion for life!

I’m still at that wonderful stage where every single day feels like an adventure waiting to happen. If you've got an active lifestyle and room in your heart for a goofy, loving pup, I might just be your missing piece!

Here is the inside scoop on me:

🐶 Living My Best Life (And Household Shenanigans!)

The Sock Parade: My signature move? Gently borrowing your shoes or socks for a high-speed victory lap around the living room. I don't destroy them—I just love a harmless game of chase!

Pack Player: I currently live with a 100lb canine buddy, a child, and a feline friend. I love wrestling and zooming around with big dogs. As for the cat? I give her total respect and leave her in peace!

Velcro Cuddler: When play time is over, I transform into a total lap dog. I love leaning into my humans, soaking up scratches, and showering you with kisses.

🎓 Current Progress & Habits

Work in Progress: We’re working on leash manners (that head harness thing is a work in progress!), but once I blow off that initial puppy steam, I love settling into a relaxed strut.

House Rules: Crate trained during the day? Check (just give me a minute to voice my brief opinion first!). Couch snooze champion at night? Absolute check. I happily sleep through the night without touching a thing.

Brain Power: I already know sit, stay, come, no, and off. I’m super eager to please, food-motivated, and ready to learn even more in obedience classes.

🌲 My Dream Forever Setup
Because of my hound roots, I thrive when I can use my nose, explore, and run. My ideal family will have:

A Secure Yard or Run: A place where I can safely stretch my legs and let loose.

High-Energy Dog Experience: Humans who understand athletic breeds and enjoy active outlets.

A Doggy Sibling: Another playful, confident dog who can teach me the ropes would be the ultimate bonus!

I'm a big-hearted goofball who loves his people above all else. I'm a sweet, snuggly Lab mix who just wants to be near you at all times. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, I’m ready to fill that role perfectly! I’m super affectionate, loving, and always eager to soak up all your attention and cuddles.

Here are a few things to know about me:

Great Manners: I am both house-trained and crate-trained.

Goofy Energy: I love having space to run and play. Whether I'm zooming around the yard or hanging out with my favorite humans, I definitely know how to have a good time.

Home Preferences: I’d do best as the only dog in the home initially, as I’m not comfortable with other dogs right away. Once I feel secure and established in my environment, I tend to do much better and I’ve even shown that I can warm up to puppies over time!

We think she’s a magical mix of Australian Shepherd and Blue Heeler, which means she inherited the absolute best of both worlds: high intelligence, endless loyalty, and a whole lot of fun-loving personality!
