It was created to regain possession of the life trajectory of young African American males in the twin cities. seeks to address the overrepresentation of young African American males in the juvenile justice system through leading the way in the innovation and provision of holistic, community centered, education, advocacy, and r

ehabilitation solutions.
“Jordan House”, the initial program stemming from Rebound, Inc. will be a group home providing culturally specific services to court involved young African American males between the ages of 15 to 18 with the goal of successfully reintegrating them into their families and communities.

From middle school hallways to college campuses… this room was full of milestones, growth, and bright futures 🎓✨

Today we celebrated our Rebound graduates — from youth moving into high school, to seniors heading off to college, to graduates stepping into their next chapter. From decorating caps to capturing graduation photos and recognizing every accomplishment along the way, this open house was all about honoring how far they’ve come 💛

Every step forward deserves to be celebrated, and we couldn’t be more proud of these young leaders. The future is looking REAL good 👏🏾📚🎉

As the President and Clinical Director of Empower Therapeutic Support Services in North Minneapolis, Dr. Weatherspoon has spent over 20 years creating culturally responsive spaces for youth, families, and communities to heal, grow, and thrive. His work centers around supporting high-risk youth, breaking cycles of trauma, and empowering communities through restorative, client-centered care.

From mental health advocacy to leadership development, Dr. Weatherspoon continues to challenge systems while pouring back into the next generation with compassion, wisdom, and purpose.
