Liberian Police Association–MN Mourns the Loss of Minneapolis Police Recruit Amara Kanneh
Minneapolis, MN – The Liberian Police Association–Minnesota (LPA–MN) is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Minneapolis Police Recruit Officer Amara Kanneh. Recruit Officer Kanneh was a dedicated and promising member of the law enforcement community. Before joining the Minneapolis Police Department, he served honorably with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), where he built strong relationships and earned the respect of colleagues through his professionalism, integrity, and commitment to service.
Beyond his duty in uniform, Recruit Officer Kanneh was a proud Liberian, a devoted brother, a loyal friend, and a cherished coworker. His humility, kindness, and passion for serving others left a meaningful and lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
“On behalf of the Liberian Police Association–MN, I extend our deepest condolences to the family of Recruit Officer Kanneh,” said Officer Yeber, President of LPA–MN. “He was a valued member of our community whose dedication and compassion touched countless lives. We mourn alongside his family, friends, the Minneapolis Police Department, and all who have been affected by this heartbreaking loss.”
