Each year, Padakshep selects a number of students who have passed Madhyamik or Higher Secondary examination (or any examination of the same level) and grants Padakshep scholarships to them.

Padakshep is now seeking new prospective candidates for the Padakshep scholarship for the year 2025. If you know of a very meritorious but poor student whom Padakshep should consider supporting, do not hesitate to request the student to apply for the Padakshep scholarship. The prospective student can apply through this google form (one needs to sign in to the Google account to avoid spams):

Over the last 16 years, Padakshep has been instrumental in helping over 500 students achieve their goals. To highlight the motivating real-life stories from our Padakshep community, we are excited to share the sixth narrative today, written by Nayan Maity, a third-year MBBS student at the IPGMER SSKM Hospital in Kolkata. He was a Padakshep scholar from 2020 to 2022.

In an effort to share the inspiring true stories from our Padakshep community, we are pleased to present the fifth story today, authored by Dr Subhadip Sau, an Assistant Professor of Physics in Jhargram Raj College. He was a Padakshep scholar from 2010 to 2012.

Today is the second such story, written by Shibshankar Nandi, who was a Padakshep scholar from 2010-2012. He is now pursuing a PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.

Today is the first such story, written by Sk Ankhijur Islam, who was a Padakshep scholar from 2011-2013. He is now pursuing a Ph.D., in Physics at the University of Mainz, Germany.

পদক্ষেপ অত্যন্ত আনন্দিত যে পদক্ষেপের সকল উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার্থী (২০২৪) খুব ভালভাবে উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষা পাস করেছে। এই অবসরে পদক্ষেপ তার সকল স্বেচ্ছাসেবক, পরামর্শদাতা এবং তহবিল সংগ্রহকারীদেরও কৃতজ্ঞতা জানায়, যাদের প্রচেষ্টা ছাড়া এই বিশাল কাজটি কখনই সুষ্ঠুভাবে সম্পন্ন হত না। একভাবে দেখতে গেলে এটা একটা বিস্ময়কর সফর - সংগ্রামের মাধ্যমে লক্ষ্যে পৌঁছানোর সফর, কখনও-শেষ-না-হওয়া অনুপ্রেরণার সফর। আমরা সবাই এই সফরের সহযাত্রী। এই শিক্ষাবর্ষের সফরের শেষে আমরা ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জয়গাথা উদযাপন করি এবং তাদের উজ্জ্বল ভবিষ্যৎ কামনা করি। আমরা আশা রাখি যে ভবিষ্যতে তারা তাদের কাঙ্ক্ষিত লক্ষ্যে পৌঁছে যাবে।

Padakshep feels overwhelmed to congratulate our scholars for successfully passing the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination 2024. Padakshep would also like to congratulate their diligent mentors and fundraisers, without whose endeavour this mammoth task could never be accomplished. We can say that this is a wonderful voyage - a voyage from struggle to achievement, a voyage of effort to success, a voyage of never-ending inspiration. We all are co-passengers in this voyage. This voyage is widely spread to the farthest corners of West Bengal. গতকাল (২ রা মে) ২০২৪ সালের মাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষার ফলাফল প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। অন্যান্য বছর এই ফল প্রকাশ থেকেই আমাদের নতুন ছাত্র-ছাত্রী বেছে নেওয়ার প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়। কিন্তু অত্যন্ত দুঃখের সাথে আমরা জানাচ্ছি যে লোকবলের অভাবে এবং আমাদের সাংগঠনিক পুনর্গঠন ও অন্যান্য কিছু কাজকর্মের জন্য এ বছর কোন নতুন ছাত্র বা ছাত্রীর দায়িত্ব না নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি ।তবুও আমরা যদি কোন প্রতিভাবান ছাত্র বা ছাত্রীর খোঁজ পাই, যার সাহায্যের একান্তই দরকার, আমরা আমাদের এই ফেসবুক পেজটির মাধ্যমে তার তথ্য প্রকাশ করব যাতে অন্য কোন সংস্থা অথবা কোন সহৃদয় ব্যক্তি তাকে সাহায্য করতে পারে। আমরা পদক্ষেপের তরফ থেকে আপনাদের সকলের সহযোগিতা একান্ত ভাবে কামনা করি।

Yesterday (2 May) the result of Madhyamik Examination 2024 was published. This would have started the beginning of the selection process of the new students of Padakshep in the previous years. However, due to lack of manpower and for the purpose of organizational restructure and other related works, we decided not to take any student this year. We are incredibly sad to inform this. If we get news of meritorious students who need help, we will use this page to publish the details, so that any other NGO/individual can help the students. We, the Padakshep family, earnestly seek your cooperation in this matter.
