🔹 Did You Know? Loss of smell can be an early sign of Parkinson’s disease.
Many people living with Parkinson’s experience a reduced sense of smell years before tremors, stiffness, or other movement-related symptoms begin. In some cases, this change may be one of the earliest warning signs of the disease.
While a diminished sense of smell does not automatically mean someone has Parkinson’s, recognizing changes in sensory function can be an important part of understanding overall health and knowing when to seek medical guidance.
Awareness of early symptoms can help individuals and families have informed conversations with their healthcare providers and better understand the signs associated with Parkinson’s disease.
