Help show your support and appreciation for our county Firefighters. May 4th 2021 is Firefighter Appreciation Day. Show your appreciation by making a donation to provide Backyard Barbeque to all county Firefighters. Backyard Barbeque will have a food truck parked at the East Station on 6th Street from 11-2. The public is welcome. Any donation amount will help but a donation of $20 or more and you will get the awesome T-Shirt below. Join Brookings Area Kindness Project and Statewide Insurance in supporting our firefigthers! We are raising money to show appreciation for all county firefighters. Tuesday May 4, 2021 is Firefighters' Appreciation Day. To show our support for the county Firefighters we will be offering them a free meal from Backyard Barbeque. Backyard Barbeque will have a food truck parked at the Brookings Fire Department - East Station on 6th Street from 11-2. Whether you donate $5 or $500 every little bit helps. If you donate $20 or more you will also get a "Firefighter Appreciation 2021 T-shirt" Just make your donation and send us a message with your shirt size. The public is welcome so come help show your appreciation. Firefighters all you need to do is show your firefighter identification and you eat for free. Thanks for all you do!

Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Thank you to all of the law enforcement agencies in Brookings. We delivered Backyard BBQ to the Brookings Police Department, Sherrif's department, Jail and the SDSU Police Department. Thank you for keeping our community safe!!!!
