Let’s welcome the holiday season with a tradition that has become part of the heartbeat of our community.

The Wild Rivers Coast Foundation for Dance is proud to present our 11th annual production of The Nutcracker, November 28–30 at Crescent Elk Auditorium. This beloved ballet brings together 85 local dancers of all ages, alongside professional guest artists, to create the largest and longest-running stage production in Curry and Del Norte Counties.

We are honored to recognize the Oregon Cultural Trust for helping make this year’s production possible. Their support strengthens the arts in rural communities like ours, ensuring that local youth have access to meaningful, creative opportunities year after year.

The Wild Rivers Coast Foundation for Dance was proud to support another unforgettable Azalea Festival Parade entry this year! With the help of our dedicated families, volunteers, and creative team, we brought Wonderland to life with a colorful float, iconic characters, and an enormous Cheshire Cat puppet—all performed by our incredible student dancers.

We are deeply thankful for the hard work and heart that went into every costume, prop, and rehearsal. Events like this embody our mission: to provide inclusive, enriching dance experiences that build community and spark joy across generations.

We’re also thrilled to share that our entry received the Grand Marshal’s Award—what an honor!

A heartfelt thank-you to our generous grantors and community partners who help make this possible: AllCare Health , Advanced Health , the Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation, Curry County Cultural Coalition, Brookings Harbor Education Foundation, Inc. Our Wild Rivers Dance Company dancers had SO much fun today. Our production of "Peter Pan, a Storybook Ballet" has been touring the community since last summer, delighting audiences at festivals, schools, and today at Sea View Assisted Living Community. We would love to thank our sponsors, AllCare Health , Advanced Health , Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation and Brookings Harbor Education Foundation, Inc. for supporting our work in the studio and within the community.
