Women Without Limits Brookings will meet twice a year and each member will bring a $100 check.

Women Without Limits Brookings will empower women of all backgrounds to collectively provide financial assistance for those in greatest need in the Brookings Community. Here's how it works:
-- Members can nominate a nonprofit or cause they feel passionately about via Nomination Forms which are submitted to the Steering Committee at [email protected].
-- Five unduplicated nominations will be randomly selected.
-- The nominating member or organization representative will give a five minute presentation about the organization and why the organization was nominated.
-- Members will vote via ballot and one of the projects will be the recipient of $10,000 (or more!).
-- Each member, whether present or not, will write a $100 check to the selected nonprofit.

If you haven't dropped off your check, please do so at your earliest convenience! We will work with you to get it and have several ways to make it as easy as possible.

1️⃣ Meet our Steering Committee Members at Kool Beans tomorrow (October 8th) from 10:30am-12pm to drop off your check.
2️⃣ Mail or drop off your check to 126 Main Ave Suite 104, Brookings, SD
3️⃣ Send us an email or Facebook Messenger Message and we'll coordinate picking it up from you
4️⃣ If you know any of the Steering Committee Members, any of us can take your check

Even if you miss the meeting or voting, committing to the group means committing that $100 twice a year. That helps us provide even more of an impact to our organization winners.

We would like to extend a big congratulations to Teen Challenge of the Dakotas for winning our Fall Impact Award tonight!

Thank you to all of the presenters who poured into their presentations this evening. There is some great work being done in Brookings county!

If you weren't able to drop off your check today or be at our meeting this evening, our Steering Committee will be at Kool Beans on Thursday, October 8th from 10:30am-12:00pm for another round of check collections.

HAPPY MEETING DAY!!

We're so excited to gather tonight at The White Frame to hear more about the 5 member-nominated non-profits who are seeking out support. Our meeting will begin at 6:30pm.

Someone from our steering committee will be sitting at Ziggi's all day to collect checks and allow you to cast your vote if you can't join us in person tonight. We also collect checks in the foyer of 126 Main Ave Suite 104 or you can mail your check to this address or message us on Facebook messenger or email and we will gladly seing by and pick up your check.

Tend provides a welcoming prepared space & sensitive guidance, for children + their adults to grow & thrive!

Brookings Community Theatre's mission is to enrich Brookings and surrounding communities by providing theatrical entertainment, as well as offering educational and performance opportunities for people of all ages. They strive to provide three main stage shows per year.

MAKING PUBLIC TRANSIT THE FIRST CHOICE...NOT A LAST RESORT.
Their mission is to provide coordinated transportation services for all citizens of the Brookings County area.

MEET THE NOMINEES!

Today we're introducing you to, Friends of the Brookings Public Library !

The Friends of the Brookings Public Library is made up of individuals, businesses, and organizations who support the Library through fundraising, volunteer and program support, and advocacy in our community. The group is an independent, non-profit, volunteer organization that promotes the Library by holding a book sale twice a year, manning a craft tent at the Brookings Arts Festival, fundraising to supplement the Library’s budget, and so much more!

Over the next week, we're going to introduce you to one of our nominees per day so you can learn a little more about each of them!

First up, Teen Challenge of the Dakotas !

Teen Challenge of the Dakotas offers a residential program for adult males, 18 years and older. The 14-month program consists of five phases: 8 months of induction and training (the first four phases) and 6 months of re-entry (the fifth and final phase), which is focused on discipleship and assistance in transitioning back into the “real world.
