Women Without Limits Brookings

Women Without Limits Brookings Women Without Limits Brookings will meet twice a year and each member will bring a $100 check.

Women Without Limits Brookings will empower women of all backgrounds to collectively provide financial assistance for those in greatest need in the Brookings Community. Here's how it works:
-- Members can nominate a nonprofit or cause they feel passionately about via Nomination Forms which are submitted to the Steering Committee at [email protected].
-- Five unduplicated nomina

tions will be randomly selected.
-- The nominating member or organization representative will give a five minute presentation about the organization and why the organization was nominated.
-- Members will vote via ballot and one of the projects will be the recipient of $10,000 (or more!).
-- Each member, whether present or not, will write a $100 check to the selected nonprofit.

We are thrilled to be awarding our Spring 2026 impact award to Food for Thought - Brookings School District. This gift will feed a lot of kids and help a lot of families! But, we need YOUR help.

If you haven't already, could you please use one of the following options to get that turned in? Every person turning in their $100 makes an even greater impact for this organization and our community.

Make checks out to Food for Thought and:
- mail to or drop off at 126 Main Ave Suite 104, Brookings
- get your check to one of our steering committee members (Tara Mills, Morgan Kneip, Amanda teVelde, Nancy Hausman, Megan Dentlinger)
- drop off your check with our steering committee anytime from 8am-6pm this Thursday at Ziggi's

Every single vote helps determine our winning nominee. In many cases, it truly comes down to just a few votes. That means YOU make the difference.

We know you care about making an impact in our community, and taking a moment to vote is one of the most powerful ways to do that.

Can’t make it to the meeting? You still have options:
Drop your check off at Ziggi’s to early vote, or send it with your vote (on a sticky note) to a steering committee member ahead of time.
