Aaaaand we're back. After a long absence on Facebook, but not on the fields, we're back to posting updates here for those interested in Frontier baseball at Murphey Candler Park, in Brookhaven GA.

Frontier is a low stress, fun baseball program for kids with ADHD, ADD, Apraxia, Speech Delays, Dyslexia, Auditory Processing Disorder and other executive or sensory challenges, to also include Autism, Motor Challenges and Asperger’s Syndrome.

IMPORTANT: We still have Spring 2024 slots available in all three Frontier Leagues for kids aged 6-16.

Today's (June 6) annual *PUBLIC* board meeting is still on for 6:00 but, due to the rain, beinfg move to the pavilion at the park.

Please attend, as this is crucial for MCB's representation (and within that, Frontier and Challenger) with the City of Brookhaven.

Wahoo!! Fall Ball registration is OPEN!!! Fall Ball focuses on skill development more than the more traditional-style spring season. While we still do games (scrimmages), no record of wins and losses is kept. What stays the same as spring is the emphasis on fun, setting the kids up for success, and celebrating your child!

Because Fall Baseball with Frontier is much slower paced, it's an EXCELLENT way to dip your child's toes in the water to see if baseball ends up being something they enjoy, if team sports are a good match for them in their development, etc. Some of our most passionate Frontierers (Frontafarians? Frontarians?) first experienced baseball in our Fall Ball!

Lastly, remember to attend the PUBLIC annual Murphey Candler Baseball Board of Directors meeting on June 6 at 6:00 PM at the park. This will cover the VERY important Murphey Candler Baseball / City of Brookhaven land-use agreement topic, which has the potential to be very impactful on both Frontier and Challenger.

Have you signed up for Frontier's first-ever summer camp at D-Bat Perimeter? This camp is open to other children in the disabilities community, so tell your friends!

The camp is INDOORS (!) and on June 13-17 from 10:00 to 2:30 each day.

Wow... talk about a championship weekend! Congratulations to ALL twelve of our amazing Frontier teams who played this past spring.

We're still compiling pictures to share in a separate post for all playoff games (if you have some you'd like to share, please message or comment, or email them to Tucker O'Brien). Now... here are YOUR Frontier League Spring 2022 champions:

- Frontier 1: the Norfolk Grizzlies were victorious against the Rocket City Trash Pandas. The Trash Pandas were the Frontier Cinderella story, having entered the championship game with a 1-4-1 regular season record (the Grizzlies had a 5-1-0 record).

- Frontier 2: the Chicago Cubs beat out the Baltimore Orioles. Both the O's and Cubbies finished the regular season with 4 wins and only 2 losses! This game had was chock-full of solid baseball.

- Frontier 3: the #2 ranked Houston Astros beat out the #1 seed Tampa Bay Rays. Many long balls were hit, numerous grounders were contained by both, with the Astros taking home the W in the end.

We got a shoutout from the main MCB page! Congratulations to all of our amazing Frontier 1, 2, and 3 teams! Here's how we're looking for championship Saturday on May 14 (home team shown first):

Frontier 1: Grizzlies vs. Trash Pandas on International Field at 9:00 AM

Frontier 2: Cubs vs. Orioles on Field 14 at 10:00 AM

Frontier 3: Rays vs. Astros on Majors Field at 11:30 AM

Our Frontier III Rays are moving on to face the Frontier III Astros in the League Championship game, Saturday 5/14. This is their gift to their outstanding Coaches. Well done, boys! ⚾️

Tomorrow starts round 1 of Frontier playoffs! As of this writing (2:30 PM), the brief rain we had has not affected us for our schedule. PHEW!

The winners of tomorrow's games will proceed to the championship for their respective Frontier divisions on May 14.
