Our Miles for Survivors donations have closed, and this is the final tally! Over the course of the event, we raised over $2,000 to fund our program: how incredible is that? We are so grateful to our participants and supporters for making this possible! It was an amazing week, and we are already looking forward to next year!
Our events serve as a way to directly grow our program: because Zera House is free of cost to residents, we provide for all their needs, and because we're a private Christ-centered nonprofit, we generate funding exclusively from individuals and businesses who support our mission. The growth we've seen is unbelievable! God has blessed us so much!

The courage of young Iranian women is utterly inspiring. They have been tearing off their head scarves and burning them in public, in protest at the killing in police custody of a young woman, Mahsa Amini, after she was arrested by "morality police" for supposedly improper hijab.

Young Iranians are just sick of the repression and hypocrisy of the Iranian regime. In my visits to the country, I'm struck that young Iranians are more likely in private to drink alcohol and ignore Ramadan fasting rules than in most other Muslim countries. The brutality and corruption of Iranian leaders has just discredited the regime.

It's striking that these protests aren't just in middle class areas of Tehran, but also in the religious city of Qom and the very traditional city of Mashhad. The whole country is fed up.

The Iranian government is willing to shoot and kill, and it has managed to suppress previous protest movements. Maybe it will again. But the one thing that is utterly clear is that these young Iranians fighting for freedom are on the right side of history.
