Thank you to 11Alive's Gilat Melamed for joining us at the Lynwood Park Pool to talk about the City's partnership with SwemSchool.

The CDC reports drowning is the #1 cause of death for children ages 1-4. We want to change that by offering swim lessons at all three Brookhaven pools.

Bad news! Another f***l incident has caused us to shut down the Ashford Park Splash Pad. We hope to reopen Friday, June 5 and will update this post when it reopens.

(UPDATE 6/4 at 2:40PM) - The kiddie pool/splash pad area at Lynwood Park is back open! Today is Thursday, June 4, and the facilities close at 6PM. Please do your part and help keep our waters clean and safe to enjoy.

The Lynwood Park Splash Pad is unfortunately closed due to f***l contamination. We hope to reopen the water features in the afternoon on Thursday, June 4.

The large pool at Lynwood Park is open and unaffected.

We mourn the loss of dedicated community leader Thomas "Tom" Lee Reilly. Tom was instrumental in the founding of the City of Brookhaven and greatly advocated for our parks and greenspaces.

The Tom Reilly Green Space, located at 1664 Re*****on Rd, was dedicated in September 2021 in appreciation of Tom's many years of service to the natural environment of the City of Brookhaven and his military service to our nation.
