Bad news: yesterday’s storms sent our systems offline at Murphey Candler. The pool at Murphey Candler Park will be closed on Sunday, Sept. 6.

We hope to see you for $1 admission day on Monday, Sept. 7!

No plans for the long weekend? Visit us for one last splash at our three Brookhaven pools!

Briarwood and Murphey Candler will be open:
Saturday from 11AM to 8PM
Sunday from 11AM to 6PM
and Monday from 11AM to 6PM

Lynwood (pictured) will be open:
Saturday from 10AM* to 8PM
Sunday from 10AM* to 6PM
and Monday from 10AM* to 6PM.
*The kiddie pool/splash pad opens and the big pool opens for an hour of lap swimming at 10AM. General use of the big pool begins at 11AM.

Admission on Monday, Sept. 7 will be discounted to just $1/person to celebrate the end of the season.

Our first night of FREE, drop-in pickleball at Lynwood Park was a smash hit! Make plans to join us at our pop-up courts Tuesday through Thursday next week. The rec centers will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7.

September Pickleball Drop-Ins -
Lynwood Park: Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45PM-8:45PM
Briarwood Park: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:15AM to 1PM

Tail-wagging updates on our Doggy Dip Day event, taking place at Murphey Candler Park on Saturday, Sept. 12!

- All proceeds from the event will benefit LifeLine Animal Project! Their team will be on-site with adoptable dogs and accepting donations. Items needed include: large dog crates, blankets and towels, dog and cat food, newspaper, toys, laundry detergent, bleach, cat litter, and dog treats.

- Explore Brookhaven has generously donated to provide raffle prizes to further benefit Lifeline Animal Project! Join us for a chance to win local Brookhaven-themed items and other prizes.

9AM to 10AM - Walk & Talk
10:15AM to 12PM - Tot Play Time
12:15PM to 3PM - 18+ Adult Open Gym
3:15PM to 5:30PM - Youth Open Gym, ages 6-17
5:45PM to 8:45PM - 18+ Adult Basketball Open Runs

Tuesdays and Thursdays:
9AM to 10AM - Walk & Talk

Emergency tree removal at Briarwood Park 🚨

The playground at Briarwood Park is CLOSED, effective 1:30PM on Wednesday, Sept. 2 for emergency tree removals.

While on a site visit to the park, the city arborist identified two trees for emergency removal near the playground. Crews are on the way to complete the work.

A new post will be made when the playground is safe to reopen.

We RELISH the opportunity to open the Lynwood Park Recreation Center for FREE, indoor pickleball open play on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45-8:45PM in September.

Bring your own equipment or borrow ours! This is a great opportunity to meet other players in the community, stay active, and build on your skills!

New bike racks are here, Brookhaven! 🚲

Mobile bike racks will be available for cyclists joining us at Brookhaven Park for the Brookhaven International Festival on October 17 & 18, 2026! Shuttles from Apple Valley Rd behind the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe MARTA Station will be available for folks joining via public transit. Limited ADA-accessible parking will be available at Brookhaven Park.
