BROOKFIELD CRAFT CENTER

BROOKFIELD CRAFT CENTER Brookfield Craft Center is a non-profit where all are welcome!

We’re passionate about connecting people through the power of art and growing our local community through weekend workshops and weekly classes. Our historic 2.5 acre campus is located six miles north of Danbury, Connecticut, on the banks of the Still River, with a vintage Mill Building as its centerpiece. Our six vintage buildings house eight fully-equipped studios, an exhibition gallery, and a retail craft gallery.

✨ Only a couple of spots left for Nerikomi this Sunday! ✨

Join our new Ceramics Studio Lead, Kaitlin, for an afternoon exploring one of the most mesmerizing techniques in clay.

Nerikomi uses layers of colored clay to create stunning patterns that run all the way through the piece. Slice it, stretch it, shape it, the design reveals itself in unexpected and beautiful ways.

Whether you’re new to clay or looking to expand your ceramic toolbox, this hands-on workshop is a perfect introduction to a technique that’s equal parts art, craft, and magic.

From raw fleece to hand-spun yarn—experience the full journey of fiber 🐑✨
Join Julia Hames (Rhode Island School of Design graduate) for a hands-on workshop exploring how wool transforms from fleece into fiber.
Whether you’re a total beginner, a knitter, weaver, or simply fiber-curious, this is your chance to slow down, work with your hands, and connect more deeply to the materials you love.
🌾 You’ll explore:
• The full fleece → yarn process
• How wool and natural fibers behave
• A meditative, grounding making experience
• Connections to local fiber + farming ecosystems
This is more than a class, it’s a return to the roots of craft.
