Hello Neighbors,

With the warm weather finally upon us, lots of summer home improvement projects are on the docket. Please be mindful of the HOA covenants that have been in place since 1976 when the subdivision was developed. They were approved and legally filed with the City and take precedence over the City of Brookfield's ordinances. So if you are considering maintenance, additions of fencing, pools, decks or any structures, please submit your plans in writing for consideration to the GKHOA Architectural Committee (per section 9 of the deed restrictions). You might want to do this prior to investing in a city permit to ensure the home modification is approved by the HOA. Thank you all in advance for your cooperation.

Hello Neighbors,

The Emerald Ash Borer has been confirmed to be in Brookfield, Waukesha County. Please keep an eye on your ash trees for symptoms and specimens. You can visit http://datcpservices.wisconsin.gov/eab/index.jsp for excellent detailed information. Unfortunately, an infested tree has to be destroyed. Our neighborhood's beauty has a lot to do with the tree lined streets. An arborist can be consulted if you have questions or want to treat the healthy tree to prevent infestation. Please let us know if you discover an infected tree on your property so we can notify the neighbors to help prevent spreading. Thanks so much!
