K-9 Searching Out Scent K-9 S.O.S. provides free-of-charge assistance to emergency agencies in locating missing individuals, body recoveries, and human remains detection.

K-9 Searching Out Scent is a certified, fully insured, trained all-volunteer non-profit organization. The team’s main objective is to provide assistance to emergency agencies in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. has successfully assisted many local agencies in locating missing persons including despondent subjects, those suffering with dementia or Alzheimer’s, recovering bodies both on land

and in water, recovery of articles/ evidence, trace evidence, and the detection of human remains. DOES NOT, however, respond to any felony related calls. Our dogs are NOT trained for criminal pursuit, aggression, arson, drug, or bomb detection. Our dog teams are certified through both IPWDA (International Police Work Dog Association) and NAPWDA (National Police Work Dog Association). It is our privilege to serve our communities by providing our services free of charge.
