Mayor Roberto Alves is inviting the Danbury community to come together and show up for Vinny.

Vinny is a 6th grader battling an aggressive form of brain cancer, and on Saturday, September 19, from 12 PM–4 PM at Hatters Park Pavilion, our community will come together to support him and his family at the Vinny Strong Fundraiser.

The event will feature kids’ games and entertainment, food trucks, duckpin bowling, music, vendor tables, Vinny Strong merchandise and more. A portion of the bowling proceeds will be donated, and all fundraiser proceeds will go to Vinny and his family.

This is what community is all about, showing up for one another when it matters most.

Bring your family, bring your friends, and help us remind Vinny that he has an entire community standing behind him.

We held our 7th annual Sokol/VFW fund raising golf event on July 15 at Richter Park in Danbury. It was a great day and our largest field to date, 136 golfers participated!
Thanks to all of the players, volunteers and sponsors for making thus a fun and successful event!
