Yesterday we had a visit from our new Rotary District 6040 Governor. She is pictured here with our president, Taylor Teeter. 
Amy Chinnery-Valmassei shared with us her passion for Rotary, our 7 areas of focus as an organization (peace building and conflict prevention, disease prevention and treatment, water and hygiene, maternal and child health, educational literacy, community economic development, and supporting the environment), and how we are one of the biggest peacemaking organizations in the world! 
We are excited to have her as our leader this year, and we hope her passion spreads throughout the club!

Mary Alice Carpenter was a program at Rotary today.
She spoke about her basketball career, her time with the Red Heads basketball team, and her introduction into the Basketball Hall of Fame where she got to meet several professional athletes, including Michael Jordan!
The Red Heads traveled the country playing expedition games against local male basketball teams.

Brookfield is very fortunate to have a hospital with cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation abilities. This is a physician-referred program that serves those who have experienced cardiac and pulmonary issues.  Whether you have had heart or lung issues, they will strive to get you living your best life again!

Matt Parn was our guest at Rotary this week. He is a current football coach for the high school football team and a founding member of the Bulldog Quarterback Club. 
The Quarterback Club has taken an active role in helping maintain the historic Burlington Field and support the overall football program at Brookfield.
