Hey, FBFam! Black History is Dr. Dora Clayton-Jones! On behalf of MCNBNA, we honor you! We are proud of you! We love you!

I am excited to announce that as of February 17, 2023, I became the first African American, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to be promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at Marquette University and in Wisconsin! I am so grateful to be in this place, especially during Black History Month. It is my hope to continue to inspire future nurses, pediatric nurse practitioners, and scholars.

I accepted my first board position as treasurer for the Milwaukee Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association over 30 years ago and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Thank you MC-NBNA for all you have invested into me over the years!
