Brookfield AAZK Welcome to the Brookfield Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) page! We are the local AAZK Chapter located in Brookfield, IL.

Our Chapter is dedicated to Zoo Keeper professional growth, enhancing animal care, promoting public awareness, and contributing to conservation. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to fundraising for and supporting conservation organizations, as well as professional development for zoo keepers. If you are interested in becoming a supportive member of Brookfield AAZK you can sign up at

Donate to support Cali Zoo employees after earthquake & AZA will match every dollar up to $50,000.

On August 10, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia. The devastation has been severe. Thankfully, at Fundación Zoológica de Cali, an Association of Zoos and Aquariums-accredited member, the infrastructure remains standing with only minor impacts, and their animals and employees are safe. However, 29 Zoo de Cali employees and their families have lost their homes

AZA is accepting donations to benefit Zoo employees through the AZA's Employee Relief Fund. These donations are tax-deductible in the U.S.
