The worldwide golf architecture community is thrilled that Harry C**t has been selected as a finalist for the World Golf Hall of Fame’s Class of 2027. The major architect organizations—ASGCA, EIGCA, SAGCA, JSGCA and KSGCA—came together to unite behind C**t’s nomination.

We’re glad the nomination committee appreciated the brilliance of C**t's timeless designs and recognized the indelible imprint he left on more than 400 courses around the world—including five Open Championship layouts. We continue to support his nomination and hope to see him take his rightful place in the Hall of Fame, next to other Golden Age architecture giants such as Donald Ross, Alister MacKenzie and AW Tillinghast.

When I started at the Society, I did not fully appreciate how special the Annual Meeting is for members: how much the they look forward to it, their level of engagement and the memories they make. It's always special when our members get together, and I feel fortunate to have shared this experience with them.

I hope everyone made it home safely, and I want to thank the members, partners, sponsors, guests and speakers who made the trip to Nashville and shared their time and energy with us.

Also, a huge thank you to the ASGCA staff for all your hard work to make the meeting a success.

The meeting may be over, but we're not done posting. Nashville was jam packed with activity and we still have more to share. Stay tuned!

We loved seeing our industry friends and celebrating GCSAA's centennial last night. The highlight was a live interview with Jack Nicklaus, ASGCA, who talked about the close relationship between course design and maintenance. Congratulations GCSAA! We're looking forward to another century of collaboration!

And fun fact: Both Bill Bergin and GCSAA President Paul Carter are Auburn alumni.

It was a big night for the Bergin family!

Matt gave his dad a heartfelt intro and Bill took the gavel as the Society’s 80th President during the Presidents Dinner.

The Presidents Dinner was Bill Bergin’s night. But before the main event, there were toasts, recognitions and the presentation of the inaugural ASGCA Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.

ASGCA Foundation President Jeff Blume presented the award to Rees Jones, who sat down for a chat with Mike Hurdzan and shared his insights, his experiences with the Society (there has been a Jones at every Annual Meeting since 1947), and expressed his admiration for all the members in the room.

Our members have worked on thousands of courses around the world. The architects were repping their clients while playing today at Richland CC, where where Jack Nicklaus and Bill Bergin have left their mark. Tonight, Bill becomes our 80th President at the conclusion of our Annual Meeting.
