🏛️💗 Just over one week ago, we kicked off our 62nd annual District Convention (DCON) in Brookfield, WI at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel on February 21, 2025.

🦖 DCON started with a historic opening session, led by our very own Jedidiah (District Secretary, Kayla) and Octavius (District Special Events Chair, Lindsey) from “Night at the Museum”.

⚔️ Our members dressed in their finest costumes, representing each district with pride and showing their spirit for our museum!

🤠 Zoey from UW-Green Bay led us in an inspiring “Why, CKI?” speech to open our convention. Her speech was out of this world!

🗿 We played “Historical Headbands” and completed some ancient ice breakers to introduce everyone to their fellow attendees.

🎨 To wrap up our first day of DCON, Friday night was full of creativity! Bob Ross guided us in our painting, as we let our brushes flow across our canvases. We truly have museum-worthy artists across our district.

🫶 Who’s ready to engage in hands-on community service? From helping build homes to having a blast in the kitchen, this year’s Kiwanis Family Service Day has many opportunities you won’t want to miss.

🏠 Come to Memorial Union at Madison, Wisconsin, to spend quality time with Kiwanis Family members giving back to the community from 10:00 A.M. CST to 5:00 P.M. CST on Saturday, March 8th.

Put your volunteer hats on and join us! We can’t wait to see everyone!

Registration Cost of Attendance:
All Attendees - $6 via check and cash, $7 via Venmo

You can pay via Venmo (), check, or cash. If paying by check, please make it out to “WUM Circle K” and send it to Assistant Administrator Rachel Geissler. If paying by cash you can only pay onsite. If you choose this option, please still register beforehand to get your group assignment!

🌎 We will be be holding onsite registration as well, but it is best to register before the event so that you can choose which outdoor service you want to participate in!

We are SCREAMING that DCON begins TOMORROW NIGHT!! The WUM CKI Museum is being set up by our District Board members who are beginning to arrive!

🖼️ You won’t want to VAN GOGH without experiencing this historical moment in WUM CKI history! The workshops, keynote speaker, and service projects won’t leave you hanging still (like the paintings in our museum). We heard that Bob Ross might even be in attendance! 😉

🌎💡✨ DCON IS ONLY 4 DAYS AWAY AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR DEDUCATED WUM CKI MEMBERS (LIKE YOU!) TO RUN FOR A DISTRICT BOARD POSITION!! Check out this post for more information on what positions are available!

⭐️ At District Convention every year, we have an opportunity to elect leaders from Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to our District (state) Board. However, this is not possible without leaders from our clubs rising to take on this opportunity to expand their impact.

🌎 There is a position for EVERY ONE on the District Board! You just have to find the right fit! Whether you’ve never had a leadership position before or have reservations about your schedule conflicting, the District Board welcomes you with open arms and is flexible in working with you!

💡Why should you run for a position on the District Board at DCON? Besides being a great asset on your resume, as Circle K International is recognized internationally as a branch of the Kiwanis Family, being a member of the District Board can aid you in creating new connections, friendships, opportunities for service, and creating an impact that leaves a legacy on our communities.

At DCON we will have some RAWR-some fundraisers, including what our Awards, Regulations, and History Chair Norah is modeling here! BALLOONS ANIMALS!! Read more below for more details on our fundraisers! 👇

All of our fundraiser proceeds will be donated to beloved Camp Wawbeek. We will have 3 fundraisers and a Mircale Minute on Saturday during the Kiwanis Family Luncheon. Prices are also below!
