What an incredible day!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our Poker Run. We had an amazing turnout, beautiful weather, and a day full of great people riding for an even greater cause.

To every rider who participated and every stop that welcomed us along the way, thank you for helping make this event such a success. Your support allows Moms Breaking the Silence to continue providing free mental health resources, Lift Kits, community education, and su***de prevention efforts throughout our area.

Seeing so many people come together in support of hope, healing, and one another is a powerful reminder that our community is stronger when we stand together.

Please enjoy some of our favorite photos from the day. Feel free to tag yourself, share the post, and add your own pictures in the comments. We'd love to see the day through your eyes!

Thank you for riding with a purpose and for supporting Moms Breaking the Silence. Because of you, we can continue our mission to end the stigma surrounding mental health and promote su***de prevention in our communities.

We already can't wait to do it again next year!

đź’š May is Mental Health Awareness Month đź’š

Some people are fighting battles you would never notice.

The friend who jokes constantly. The coworker who never misses work. The teenager who says “I’m fine.” The parent holding everything together for everyone else.

Mental health struggles do not always look the way people expect them to look.

This month, let’s do more than just “raise awareness.” Let’s normalize checking on people. Let’s normalize talking about mental health. Let’s normalize asking for help before someone reaches a breaking point.

And maybe most importantly: Let’s remind people that needing help is not weakness.

At Moms Breaking the Silence, we believe conversations save lives. Sometimes one honest conversation can change the direction of someone’s entire day… or entire life.

If you’re struggling: Stay. Talk. Reach out. One more day matters.

đź’š If you believe mental health deserves the same care, support, and compassion as physical health, leave a green heart in the comments.

Take a Break with the PHS Senior Life Solutions Team This Thursday

Take a break during your day and join Pershing Health System’s Senior Life Solutions team as they celebrate May as Mental Health Awareness Month with a FREE community event focused on creativity, connection, and self-care.

Come paint a flower pot, plant a seed, and enjoy a relaxed and supportive environment designed to help nurture your mental health. No experience is needed — just bring yourself!

Stop by anytime between 1-3 p.m., on Thursday, May 21, downstairs at the hospital in the Senior Life Solutions Room (follow the signs).

This free event is open to everyone and is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, get creative, connect with others, and take a moment for yourself during the day.

Some days are heavier than others, and music can be one of those little things that helps us make it through. đź’š

We wanted to share “Better” by Dirty Heads because sometimes we all need the reminder that bad days don’t last forever and things really can get better.

Feel free to share a song, video, quote, or anything else that helps you get through tough days. You never know when something that helps you might help someone else too. đź’š

Mother’s Day can bring so many different emotions.

Today, we’re thinking of the mothers grieving children, those grieving their mothers, those navigating difficult relationships, those longing to become mothers, and every person carrying complicated feelings this weekend.

At Moms Breaking the Silence, we want you to know this: you are not alone. Your story matters. Your grief matters. Your love matters.

If today feels heavy, give yourself permission to feel whatever comes. There is no “right” way to move through Mother’s Day.

Sending love to all who need it today. đź’ś

Sometimes the people who are hurting the most are still the ones showing up every day.

They go to work. They answer messages. They smile. They take care of everyone else.

Just because someone looks “okay” doesn’t mean they are.

A little kindness, patience, or checking in on someone can matter more than you realize. đź’š

Update in comments

Tonight is our first Grief Support meeting at Moms Breaking the Silence. We will be getting a head-count so we can order our materials. If you are planning on coming, we can’t wait to see you! If for some reason you cannot come tonight but you are planning on coming to future sessions, PLEASE LET US KNOW so we can order enough materials. It’s costing us around $25 per person so we really need a fairly accurate head-count. Thank you and we can’t wait to see you tonight!
