Small but mighty! 💪🛠️

A huge shoutout to the incredible crew from HTZ Design + Build for stepping up to the workbench last Friday. They might be a tight-knit team, but they brought massive energy and built 8 complete beds from scratch!

Because of their hard work, eight local kiddos will no longer have to sleep on the floor. Thank you, HTZ Design + Build, for partnering with us to build hope, community, and sweet dreams! 💤✨

While everyone is out enjoying the warmer weather, we are staying focused on our mission: ensuring that 𝐧𝐨 𝐤𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧. We love getting out into the community to spread awareness about child bedlessness, but we want to know where you think we should head next. 🛏️👀

At Sleep in Heavenly Peace, we believe that every kid deserves a bed of their own to dream big, rest easy, and thrive. Thanks to our incredible volunteers and community support, our warehouse is stocked and we are ready to build, deliver, and assemble!

If you know a child (ages 3–17) in our area who is sleeping on the floor, sharing a bed, or sleeping on a couch, please let us know. We provide the bunk frame, a brand-new mattress, and all the cozy bedding completely free of charge.

Now, we don't expect you to stuff a twin-sized mattress into the back of your sedan, drive it over, and try to navigate someone else's hallways. (Though the mental image of someone wrestling a mattress up a flight of stairs is pretty entertaining!) 🚙💨

🛏️ 𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: 𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐄 & 𝐌𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒 🛏️

Meet Bonnie and Mike Hakes, our absolute Dynamic Delivery Duo! For the past 4 years, this incredible couple has been an essential part of our Core Team, bringing endless joy, hard work, and—most importantly—beds to children in our community.

Like many amazing journeys, theirs started with a simple search for a way to give back.

"We were just looking to volunteer for something and Mike stumbled upon this," Bonnie shares. "Nothing special about how we got involved, just that it happened quick—and we were assigned core members literally the next delivery!"

When you have the kind of passion and energy Bonnie and Mike bring, their true reward comes at the end of every delivery. "It's rewarding to know you have just brightened a child's life. The smiles and joy that comes from the kids is what got us loving it." 😄🥰

We are incredibly grateful for Bonnie and Mike’s dedication, their smiles (and the miles they drive!) to make sure no kid sleeps on the floor in our town. Thank you both for being such a vital piece of our mission! 💙
