We are estatic to report Buddy, from Brunswick, Ohio who escaped July 4th, was safely secured today by our quick-thinking team of Debbie and Scott. The call came in that he was contained in a garage-- he was not contained when Debbie quickly arrived to the residence on Revered road, Akron, Ohio. She saw him lying down near the garage, sat down and slowly approached feeding him our chicken...she managed to get the slip lead on him ending his 4- week nightmare and got him secured in her car!! I called the owner and she is enroute to be reunited with her beloved Buddy!
He is exhausted.

BOARD RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT - July 28th 2026
Remi’s Pet Recovery, N.E. Ohio's leading provider of reuniting lost dogs back with their owners & safely recovering stray/abandon lost dogs is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic board of directors. More information on Remi’s Pet Recovery’s Organization is available at www.remispetrecovery.org
Board members are actively involved in organizational governance and are expected to attend (4) quarterly board meetings, make a personal financial contribution, participate in our yearly fundraising efforts, contribute to the organization’s culture, strategic focus, effectiveness, and financial sustainability, as well as serving as ambassadors and advocates.
The board needs a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on board candidates with technical support, marketing & advertising, fundraising, grant writing and media expertise, as well as those connected to the local workforce development agency, foundations & community connections.

Update on Buddy!
Debbie/Scott and Vanessa were up bright and early Sunday, July 26th, and headed to Medina with our laser kennel in tow. He was seen 2x eating from his food station! As soon as we pulled into the driveway, we got alerts that he was already 8.9 miles farther South. We headed that way and searched for hours and tips contined to come in allowing us to verify/confirm it was Buddy. He unfortunately continues to eat and run. Thank you to everyone who has called/texted with photos/information. Buddy cannot be approached or pursued. Please do NOT post any videos/sightings on this thread, it will be deleted.

Thank you for all your support and understanding. For over 2 weeks we have made daily trips to/from Brunswick/Medina- I am posting our link for donations to help with gas/supplies- thank you to those that have asked how they can help/donate.

PLEASE DO NOT POST SIGHTINGS OR SCREENSHOTS ON THREAD!!

For those following Buddy, lost from Brunswick, OH, July 5th, he's now in Medina/Valley city - you heard that right...Thursday night confirmed in Strongsville and this morning 10:30 am confirmed in Medina. For future updates, please follow our page Remi's Pet Recovery . Buddy is not staying put despite an immediate food station this morning. Please try to get a photo if you see him and do not approch or follow him! Thank you so much for your help and understanding.

Remi's has been working on this lost dog for over 2 weeks now. He's from Brunswick and was frequenting my food station when he vanished. --6 days later he is now in Strongsville, Ohio. He does have a white chest, no collar and is extremely skittish so DO NOT APPROACH, FOLLOW OR CALL OUT TO HIM! Please text 216 644 4511 if you see him /try to get a photo as well! The lost dog from Brunswick, Ohio, who escaped July 4th, paid a visit last night but showed little interest in the trap or the food- although he did eat what was at the entrance of the trap--this tells me he most likely has another food source--if he was starving he would have gone in for the chicken!
Tonight, Friday, we will be assembling our state of the art Laser Kennel, it is an open concept large ken nel where the dog will feel more comfortable walking in..I'll post a photo in the comments section as Meta won't allow me to post a photo with a video!
Please do not leave out food for him.
We greatly appreciate the communities help and understanding as we try to safely recover this lost dog and return him back to his family!
