🌟 Empowering Our Community: 2027 Community Grant Applications Are Open ❤️

The Junior League of Bronxville is proud to officially open applications for our 2027 Community Grants.

Our Community Grants support local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that directly serve and strengthen the communities of Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe, and Yonkers. Through this initiative, we partner with community organizations to fund specific, tangible needs and special project enhancements, ranging from essential equipment and educational tools to community wellness and outreach programs.

Together with our incredible local partners, we have helped bring impactful stories of change to life across our service area:

·The Bereavement Center Tree House: iPads to support youth and family bereavement programs

·Edward Williams School Mount Vernon Central School District: Expansion of the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program

·Operation Prom: Garment racks, pop-up fitting rooms, and mirrors to expand dressing areas at County Center distribution events

·Westchester Latinos Unidos: A dedicated refrigerator for their community room to preserve food and support community gatherings

·Crestwood Library: Bat houses and echolocation devices to enable patrons to listen for, identify, and record the presence of bats

·Community Service Associates: Professional-grade meat slicer, a durable capital investment that supports their long-term service delivery

❤️ Intros & Info Recap: Still Time to Join ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our fall Intros & Info session 🌟

We had a wonderful evening getting to know each other, sharing stories about our community projects, and playing our very own, BEMTY Bingo. Prospective members had the opportunity to learn all about how our League works, explore our different councils and committees, and discover how we make a tangible impact across our service area.

If you couldn’t make it in person but are still interested in joining the Junior League of Bronxville (JLB), it is not too late.

We are hosting a special Make-Up Zoom Info Session tomorrow evening:

Saturday Mobile Food Pantry (MFP)❤️

It was a gorgeous, sunny Saturday morning today in Mount Vernon as we helped nourish our neighbors.

The Junior League of Bronxville volunteers joined our community partner Feeding Westchester to sort and distribute fresh, nutritious groceries directly to local families.

Swipe through to see our volunteers in action. Cortini, Jenn, and Lara alongside Saturday Mobile Food Pantry Chair, Monica, distributing fresh produce, prepared meals, desserts, and pantry staples to the community.

Alleviating food insecurity across our service area is one of our central impact pillars, and there is nothing quite like spending a morning rolling up our sleeves to make a direct difference alongside inspiring women.

Another question we often hear from prospective members is: "Do I need prior volunteer or board experience to join the Junior League of Bronxville?"

The answer is: Not at all! 🌟

At the Junior League of Bronxville, one of our core purposes is training and leadership development. You do not need an extensive background in volunteering, committee work, or community organizing. All you need is an open heart, a willingness to learn, and a desire to make a difference in our local communities.
