Community, Connection, and Mahjong!

At the Junior League of Bronxville, impact starts with strong relationships. Beyond our community projects and volunteer work, our affinity clubs give members a relaxed way to connect, share passions, and build lasting friendships.

Recently, members gathered around the table for a lively evening with the JLB Mahjong Club! 🀄✨ The night was filled with plenty of strategy, fun competition, laughter, and great conversation.

Being part of JLB is about more than meetings. It is about finding your community, supporting one another, and having fun along the way. ❤️

❤️ Friendships Beyond Service. ❤️

One of the greatest gifts of the Junior League of Bronxville isn't just the opportunity to serve our communities. It's the friendships we build along the way.

Service may bring us together, but friendship is what keeps us connected. ❤️

Earlier this week, members gathered at MacEachron Waterfront Park in Hastings-on-Hudson for an evening picnic filled with conversation, laughter, and the chance to reconnect outside of our volunteer work. While the skies weren’t perfectly clear, we were grateful the rain held off and gave us the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful evening together. 🌤️

Moments like these remind us that the Junior League is more than meetings and service projects. It's a community of women who support one another, celebrate one another, and build lasting friendships that extend far beyond our League activities. ❤️

We're looking forward to another year of serving together, growing together, and making memories along the way. 🌟

❤️ A New League Year. A New Chapter of Impact. ❤️
A new League year means new ideas, new opportunities, and a renewed commitment to serving our communities.

While summer may feel like a quieter season, our Board of Directors and Management Team have already been hard at work planning for an exciting year ahead. Together, we're preparing meaningful service projects, leadership opportunities, community partnerships, and member experiences that will strengthen our communities and create a lasting impact.

At the Junior League of Bronxville, we believe that when women come together with a shared purpose, extraordinary things happen. Together, we invest in our neighbors, empower future leaders, support our community partners, and create meaningful change throughout our communities. ❤️

Whether this is your first League year or you've been a member for many years, every new beginning brings fresh possibilities. New friendships. New leadership opportunities. New ways to grow while making a difference.

As we begin this new League year, we look forward to welcoming new members, strengthening friendships, and continuing to build a stronger community together.

Here's to another year of serving with purpose, leading with heart, and making an impact. 🌟

❤️ You don't have to do it all. ❤️

Women often wear many hats. We are professionals, caregivers, volunteers, leaders, friends, daughters, partners, and so much more. While these roles can be deeply rewarding, they can also leave us feeling stretched thin.

The Association of Junior Leagues International's Every Woman. All Things. initiative reminds us that the pressure to "do it all" isn't something we have to accept. By fostering connection, encouraging shared responsibility, and supporting one another, we can help create healthier communities for women everywhere.

At the Junior League of Bronxville, we believe that empowering women begins with lifting one another up. Whether through service, leadership, friendship, or advocacy, we are stronger together. ❤️

How do you make time to recharge when life feels overwhelming? We'd love to hear what works for you in the comments. 🌟

❤️ Investing in the Next Generation of Leaders. ❤️

College move-in day is about more than packing a dorm room, it’s about helping students begin a new chapter with confidence.

On June 9, the Junior League of Bronxville partnered with Target at Cross County Center, The Guidance Center of Westchester, and Yonkers Partners in Education (YPIE) for our annual Dorm Drive, supporting 24 incredible young women as they prepared for their transition to college life. 🎓

Through the generosity of our community partners and volunteers, students were able to shop for dorm room essentials and receive support as they prepared to live on campus this fall. From bedding and storage to everyday necessities, these items help create a foundation for success as they begin this exciting new chapter.

More importantly, the evening was about encouragement, connection, and showing these young women that their community believes in them. ❤️

We are grateful to our partners at Target, The Guidance Center of Westchester, and Yonkers Partners in Education for helping make this annual event possible, and we wish these students the very best as they begin their college journeys.

Together, we are empowering the next generation and creating opportunities for future success. 🌟

Helping New Beginnings Shine. 🌟

A home is more than four walls. It's a place to build routines, create stability, and begin the next chapter with confidence.

Through our CARES Committee's Ready, Set, Shine event, the Junior League of Bronxville partnered with Westhab to support individuals transitioning to independent living. Participants had the opportunity to select essential household and cleaning supplies, including mops, brooms, dustbins, gloves, and other necessities that help create a clean, welcoming home.

While these items may seem simple, they provide something much greater: the tools to maintain a space of one's own and the opportunity to start fresh with dignity and pride.

Events like Ready, Set, Shine reflect the power of community partnerships and the impact that can be made when women come together in service of others.

A heartfelt thank you to our CARES Committee volunteers and community partners who helped make this event possible. Your time, dedication, and compassion are helping create brighter futures, one home at a time. ❤️

We beat the rain ⛅️

Last Saturday, the Junior League of Bronxville was back out with for another Mobile Food Pantry, wrapping up just in time before the rain rolled in.

From fresh produce to pantry staples and prepared meals, tables were filled and ready as volunteers worked together to ensure neighbors had access to nutritious food in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Moments like these are a reminder that it’s not just about what’s distributed, it’s about connection, consistency, and showing up for one another, week after week.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers and partners who made it all happen ❤️

Members of the Junior League of Bronxville (JLB) continue to find purpose in their volunteerism, and nowhere is this more evident than in our work to combat food insecurity. Our twelve‑year partnership with Feeding Westchester is a powerful example of how sustained, hands‑on service can create lasting change not only in the communities we serve, but also in the lives of our members themselves. Through regular engagement at Mobile Food Pantries, JLB volunteers see firsthand how their time and energy translate into food on tables, dignity restored, and neighbors feeling seen and supported.
This work is not transactional - it is deeply relational. Each interaction at a Mobile Food Pantry - whether helping someone select produce, loading a bag into a cart, or simply offering a kind word - reminds our members that food insecurity is not an abstract concept but a daily reality for many families.

As JLB members return each time, they witness familiar faces, learn their neighbors’ stories, and better understand the systemic challenges that make access to healthy food so difficult. That understanding shapes them as leaders and advocates, informing how they show up in their families, workplaces, and their wider communities.

At the same time, these volunteer experiences nourish our members’ sense of purpose and connection. Working side by side, they build strong bonds with one another and see the impact of their collective volunteerism in real time.

Here’s a testimonial from Nicole, who shares how volunteering at one of our Mobile Food Pantries in Mount Vernon brought this alignment of purpose and impact to life - illustrating how a few hours of service can transform both the giver and the receiver, and why our partnership with Feeding Westchester remains at the heart of our mission to address food insecurity.
