We’ve yet to share this part of our story; but it’s time. My husband believed he needed to kill me to save me.

this hits so close to home during an already difficult month. So many prayers to this family.

“We should all be afraid of a system that doesn't prioritize mental health the same as physical.”

Yes. Even you, who thinks you're immune and would never hurt your children, could suffer a psychotic break.

Even you, who is judging the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother, may one day fully understand how deep mental illness can take a person.

And honestly, I pray you do understand it one day...safely.

I pray you struggle. But I pray you get the help you need.

Lindsay tried to get help, and a broken system failed her.

Every night, I sleep next to the most loving, kind, and devoted husband and father I know. And this man, at one time, wholly believed he needed to kill me in order to protect me.

Am I afraid of my husband? Absolutely not.

But I am afraid of a system that makes people like Lindsay and my husband, desperately seeking help, wait for treatment.

We should all be afraid of a system that doesn't prioritize mental health the same as physical.

May God bless Lindsay, her loving and understanding husband, and their three beautiful children now in Heaven with our King.

So honored to have Anchoring Hope for Mental Health: Jeremy & Bailey Koch in Bow today speaking to our high school kids. Some really tough realities were talked about today and I’m so thankful for her openness and honestly regarding mental illness. Praying it made a impact on many hearts and minds 💚

Mental health conditions aren't "simple things" that people can get over. This is why education, understanding and empathy are needed to help remove the stigma surrounding mental health.

Thrilled for the opportunity to speak to any high school who will let me in. :-) No sugar-coating...but also no fear. Mental illness is what it is - a disease. So how do we stop it? We fight with honesty and the acceptance of help.

Two weeks from tomorrow, on Friday, October 28th, I'll be at Broken Bow High School at 10:30 a.m. Thanks, Bow, for having me! Can't wait to yell at mental illness with ya!

My heart is still full from Saturday!

It was another special day seeing family and great friends come together to remember and honor Print. Each and every one of your donations, volunteered time, love and support do not go unnoticed from our family. We are truly blessed with the best!

We are looking forward to using some of the funds from this event to bring in Anchoring Hope for Mental Health: Jeremy & Bailey Koch to Broken Bow next month to speak to our students on the importance of taking care of your mental health and understanding the struggles of mental illness.

We are hoping to add more of these types of programs to other schools and organizations across Custer County!
