This wee little one has occupied majority of my time over the past two months! This past year has gone by so quickly for me. I went back to school this January to finish pre-requisites to begin nursing school. Then, three weeks later, I found I was pregnant. Between a semester of school, my pregnancy and a busy family life, I'm in awe that a new year will begin soon.

I would love to finish this year strong. Shower of Hope Oklahoma and Takin' It to the Tulsa Streets are putting together bags of toiletries, warm hats and gloves and other necessities for the Tulsa homeless to deliver around Christmas. On June 15, 2013, Shower of Hope Oklahoma held a diaper distribution at The Changing Table. 8,000+ diapers, 5,000+ wipes distributed to families affected by the May 2013 Oklahoma storms and tornadoes

There's nothing better then charitable groups and organizations helping each other! Our friends at Heart 4 Children Ministries, Inc had some specific family needs and Shower of Hope Oklahoma put them in touch with a Broken Arrow family who had items to donate and $400+ to donate to tornado survivors. The fundraising was done by a 9-year old little girl who wanted to help tornado survivors. I'm so happy we could be a part of this and help connect another wonderful charitable organization with Adeline and her family!

She wanted the money she raised to go to one family, so donated the money she raised and what was left over to Heart 4 Children Ministries to give to the Taylor family of 5 children in Moore, OK

Tornado in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma this evening. Very eerie seeing the rotation only a mile or so away from my front yard. We're in the clear right now and praying for a peaceful night. (Video from KRMG).

What a week it's been. My husband is tornado survivor from the tornado that hit Newcastle on Monday. The home he was working in was leveled. It's been a heartbreaking week for so many Oklahomans. Today, is the second anniversary of the tragic tornado in the Piedmont/Cashion area. Please continue to pray for the recent tornado victims and today please say an extra prayer for the Hamil Family.
