We're back! After two weeks away, Stories by the Fire is back. This is a great way for everyone to gather together and learn Cherokee history, language, culture, and heritage through Storytelling. Just a reminder that it is free, virtual, and all are welcome.

Great Language Resource for At-Large Members!

Check out the dates and locations at the link in the post to see if a class will be near you!

The Cherokee Nation Language Department hosts free Cherokee Language classes locally on the reservation as well as at-large, reaching Cherokees from all over the United States. The teachers for the courses are Cherokee language teachers John Wofford and Kaynan Pulse!

At-large Cherokee Language classes have been held in Oklahoma, Georgia, California, Kansas, Florida, New Mexico, Oregon, and more.

Two new classes will begin soon in New Mexico and Florida!

The New Mexico class will meet virtually June 2-11 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. ET, with two in-person sessions on June 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. ET at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, 2401 12th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM. The Florida class will meet virtually June 23-July 1 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. ET, with two in-person sessions on June 27 and 28 from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. ET at the Marriott in St. Petersburg/Clearwater, 12600 Roosevelt Blvd North
