At the age of 24, Donnie Ray's life was suddenly and tragically taken. On January 14th, 2012, this tragedy left family, friends and an entire community grief-stricken. His testimony, recorded less than 72 hours before his death, has been a lifeline during a difficult time. šŸ“¢ Scholarship Application Deadline Extended to Friday

The Donnie Ray Crawford Legacy Foundation has extended the scholarship application deadline to Friday, June 19.

This extension will allow the Foundation time to review applications already received and respond to applicants who have previously contacted us regarding the status or completeness of their application materials.

We will be replying to those applicants tomorrow. If any required items are missing, this additional time will provide an opportunity to submit those items before the application review process begins.

Our goal is to be good stewards of both the applicantsā€™ efforts and the Foundationā€™s review process by ensuring that every application receives a thorough and careful review.

Thank you to everyone who has applied. We appreciate your patience and look forward to reviewing your applications.

And this is why we should ALWAYS stand for the United States flag and National Anthem.

These men and women have paid the ultimate price so that you and I can enjoy freedom. They have left behind wifeā€™s, husbands, children, parents, siblings and friends for US. Those families grieve daily while we enjoy our lives.

And letā€™s not forget those that fought for our freedom, but was fortunate to come home and hopefully pick up where they left off. We thank you as well!

Some losses are just hard to comprehend. When someone who was so full of life is suddenly gone, it leaves so many hearts hurting and searching for understanding.
