So, what’s school like at Deaf Christian Academy?
It’s school. Students learn, eat lunch together, and work on assignments and projects. The difference is that DCA is built around a language environment where ASL is central to learning, with English literacy woven throughout the curriculum.
Being Deaf or hard of hearing doesn’t mean students need less from their education. It means they need education that gives them full access to language and learning. On this day, that looked like lunch with friends followed by making thank-you cards for some of our community’s first responders. 💙
Two programs: Early Childhood at Happy Hands and K–5th at DCA. One mission: To see Deaf and hard of hearing children flourish in school and in life, rooted in Christ!
