Information about being a living kidney donor: These are some of the initial questions you will be asked. Please know that if you answer yes to any of the following, there is a place for further explanation. These questions may or may not exclude you from being a donor.

Do you have blood sugar problems or diabetes?
Did you have blood sugar problems during a pregnancy?
Are you being treated for high blood pressure?
Do you take meds for high blood pressure?
Do you have heart problems?
Do you have kidney stones?
Do you have a history of urine or kidney infections?
Have you ever had cancer?
Current or previous mental disorders?
Have your ever had HIV,AIDS of Hepatitis?
Any other health issues?

Please know that if there is that one special person out there that has even remotely considered being a living donor, you may reach out to me at [email protected]. If you live outside the Oklahoma area, there are many facilities that INTEGRIS is partners with so that most of the medical screening can be done closer to home. Hi, I’m Nicki. My husband Gene Perry has been on Dialysis for over 2 years. He is blood type B positive. Doing fairly well. He is on the National Transplant list, and when he gets a kidney, or when we find that one special person as a living donor, this procedure will be done in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
