Happy 251st Birthday, U.S. Navy! 🇺🇸⚓

Today, Blue Star Mothers of America proudly celebrates 251 years of the United States Navy!

On October 13, 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the creation of a naval force, beginning a legacy of service that continues today.

For more than two and a half centuries, generations of Sailors have answered the call to serve, protecting our nation and defending freedom across the seas. Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice are woven into the history of our country.

To every Sailor serving today, every Navy veteran who served before them, and the families who proudly stand behind them, we thank you. 💙

And to our Blue Star Mothers with sons and daughters serving in the United States Navy, today we celebrate your Sailors with you! ⚓❤️🤍💙

💙⭐ Honoring a Legacy of Love, Service, and Leadership ⭐💙

Leadership is more than holding a title. It is about the hearts you touch, the lives you impact, and the difference you make along the way.

Recently, we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate and honor Lisa, our outgoing Broken Arrow Blue Star Mothers Chapter President (2024–2026) for her dedication, service, and leadership.

With cake, beautiful flowers, and the presentation of a very special new garrison cap proudly recognizing her as Past President of Broken Arrow Blue Star Mothers, we celebrated not just the completion of her term, but the love, time, and heart she poured into our chapter. 💐🎂

Being a Blue Star Mother is a special calling, and stepping forward to lead a chapter of military mothers takes an even greater commitment. It means giving of yourself to support our military families, honor our service members, and ensure that our mission continues to make a difference.

Thank you, Lisa, for the countless hours, the sacrifices, the dedication, and the heart you have given to our chapter. Your service has been a meaningful part of our story, and your contributions will always be part of the legacy of Broken Arrow Blue Star Mothers.

While your title may have changed from President to Past President, the gratitude and appreciation we have for you remains.

❤️🤍💙 This is why we do what we do. 🇺🇲

As Blue Star Moms, our mission is reminding our deployed service members that they are in our thoughts. Our chapter regularly sends care packages filled with a little bit of home, and we are incredibly grateful for the members of our community who help us make those packages extra special.

Recently, we received some wonderful news. One of the military units that received packages shipped by our chapter reached out to a local school to personally thank them for the patriotic drawings and heartfelt messages the students had created and that we included in the packages.

We were so happy to hear that the school had been contacted and to learn just how much those drawings and messages meant. The artwork is now proudly displayed, serving as a reminder to our service members that people back home are thinking of them, supporting them, and appreciating their service.

There’s something pretty special about that full-circle moment. 💙 Children here at home took the time to create something from the heart. Our Blue Star Moms chapter had the privilege of helping send those messages across the miles. And somewhere far from home, our service members are displaying them and took the time to say thank you.

But we think the biggest thank you belongs to our service members. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇲

What a long weekend for the BA Blue Star Mothers. Friday, we were at Veterans Village at the Fair where Sen. James Lankford stopped by our booth. Stop by and see the Village…you won’t be disappointed.

Today we were helping with the American Legion Riders Poker Run for Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight and $17,045 was raised!! 😭🇺🇸 We even got to help sponsor a veteran, which was extra special since our own Steph Orr is a guardian on this next flight.
