Bucket Update/$5 Friday: As I have shared Bucket has had arthritis issues for awhile & has had hoof problems too. It's been a roller coaster ride & in the midst of everything happening with Colton & Cooper, Bucket had a limp just 1 day after Cooper passed. It was just another blow in an incredibly hard time. This was in his right front leg, normally it is the left. His hooves looking good. it was the first damp fall like day & I felt it was brought on by that. It did get better then worse as I added additional pain meds. When those didn't seem to change anything, our vet & i decided we would try a steroid injection that would be long lasting & it would eliminate his daily Meloxicam. He of course was walking great the day before & of the appt as all the animals like to do after I make appts😊. His appt was last Friday & so far so good. He has been walking good since & I am so happy. Seeing him stroll across the field is absolutely the best sight.
Bucket walks on the lead so well as you can see. For his appt we moved Miles & Journey in the adjacent field & they immediately reunited as soon as his appt was done which he did amazing for Dr Oberlin from NC Mobile Veterinary Service. So thankful for their care.
As this was another unexpected vet bill & all 3 of them will be getting their annual checkups/vaccines & a hoof trim on Nov 11th, can we do a $5 Friday for Bucket & the boys. This unexpected appt, 2 more injections for Bucket, their checkups & hoof trims will be around 4000 total which will wipe us down to very critical low funds. So the next 3 Fridays i will be doing $5 Fridays with a goal of $1300 for each. Our namesake & friends need you so if you have $5 or more to spare, it would be so appreciated.
