💜 Honoring Overdose Awareness Day 💜

Stairway to Recovery Peer Leader Jorge proudly attended the MOAR - Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery International Overdose Awareness Day Annual Flag Planting at Liberty Mall on Boston Common.

This powerful event brings our community together to remember those we have lost to overdose, honor those in recovery, and stand in solidarity with individuals, families, and communities affected by Substance Use Disorder.

Each flag represents a life and a story that matters. Today, we remember, we honor, and we continue to raise awareness that recovery is possible and no one should have to walk this journey alone.

Thank you to M.O.A.R. and everyone who continues to advocate for recovery, compassion, and hope. 💜

💙🧡 EAST MEETS WEST RECOVERY....WHAT A DAY!!! 🧡💙

WOW… what an incredible day of recovery, fellowship, laughter, food, and FUN! 🙌

Bringing everyone together from our Gandara Recovery Support Centers across the East and West was definitely one of the funnest events we’ve been to in a LONG time! There was so much positive energy, so many laughs, and just an amazing sense of community all day long. ❤️

And of course….THE TUG OF WAR!!! 😂💪

The East vs. West competition was AWESOME! Some serious bragging rights were on the line, and we’re happy to report that the East Directors took the WIN over the WEST DIRECTORS!!! 🏆😂

GG’s West! We’ll give you another shot next year. 😉

This event was such a great reminder of what happens when we come together as one recovery community. Different locations, different programs, different people......but ONE recovery community. 💙

And YES… this is officially becoming an ANNUAL EVENT! 🎉

Plans are already being thrown around about how we can make next year even bigger, better, and more fun. Including conversations, about where we’ll hold it and what we can add to the day.

For now, we’re just incredibly grateful for everyone who came out, participated, laughed, competed, helped, cooked, played, and made this day what it was.

What a FUN TIME in recovery! ❤️

📣 IMPORTANT REMINDER, FAMILY! 💜

Just a reminder that today, Friday, August 28th, Stairway to Recovery will be closed during the day while our staff and Peer Leaders head out to Myles Standish State Forest for a special collaborative day with all of the Gandara Peer Recovery Centers!

We’re coming together for a day of fellowship, connection, strengthening our peer recovery community, and of course… a good old-fashioned pig roast! 🐷🔥

📍 Stairway to Recovery will reopen at 6 PM for our N.A. Fellowship Meeting.

💜 Walking Together in Memory, Hope & Recovery 💜

Stairway to Recovery was proud to be represented by Gambling Ambassador Supervisor Ricky and STR Program Director Todd at the 3rd Annual Taunton Community March for Overdose Awareness, alongside our friends at the Taunton Peer Recovery Center and other PRSC's

This powerful event brought community members, recovery advocates, peer leaders, families, and allies together to honor the lives lost to overdose, raise awareness, and remind everyone that recovery is possible and no one has to walk this journey alone.

Ricky and Todd were honored to stand alongside the Taunton recovery community as we marched in remembrance, solidarity, and hope. Every step represents a commitment to supporting those impacted by substance use and gambling related harms while continuing to build stronger, healthier communities.

🕊️ We remember those we’ve lost.
💜 We stand with those in recovery.
🤝 We support those still struggling.
🌟 We continue to spread hope.

🕯️ Remembering, Honoring & Standing Together 🕯️

Stairway to Recovery Recovery Coach Felicita, along with our STR Peer Leaders and Members, came together to attend the Annual Overdose Vigil by Candlelight, hosted by the Brockton Area Prevention Collaborative at Bridgewater State University.

This meaningful evening gave us an opportunity to remember and honor the lives lost to overdose, support those who continue to be impacted, and stand together in hope, healing, recovery, and prevention.

We light our candles in memory of those we have lost, for the families and communities who carry their memories, and for everyone who continues to walk the path of recovery. 🕯️💜

We remember. We support. We recover. We continue to carry the message of hope.

Thank you to the Brockton Area Prevention Collaborative for bringing our community together for this important and powerful event.
