Restoration Community Action Ministry (RCAM) is a ministry of Restoration Community Church in Brockton. Our church has served the Brockton community for 21 years, previously as Dominion Church International and originally as Kingdom Church, est. 2001. As a church body, we believe that God has called us to Brockton to radically change the city for His glory. RCAM answers this call through our missi
on: “Do good, seek justice, correct oppression.” (Isaiah 1:17). We envision Brockton as A City Transformed: transformed to justice and equity. We seek this transformation through collaborative, faith-rooted community organizing, holding public officials accountable to our community, and creatively imagining and building the systems and structures necessary for the bringing of God’s kingdom to earth. In affiliation with Brockton Interfaith Community (BIC), RCAM carries out our mission by working toward systemic racial and economic justice in Brockton. Since the beginning of 2020, after listening to the concerns of the community, we have focused our efforts on addressing issues of systemic racism within the Brockton Public School system and promoting transparency and accountability for developing systems of racial justice. We have begun to unite the organizations in the city working toward similar goals in order to address these issues together, operating in the collective power of the people as one community, as our faith teaches as righteous.
