We are honored to introduce Nyesha Wornum as our guest speaker for the Victory For Families 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala! ✨

Nyesha’s journey is a powerful reminder of WHY the work we do matters. As a proud graduate of our Money Mindset for Moms program, her story reflects the importance of community support, financial empowerment, and creating opportunities for families to thrive.

Nyesha Wornum is a TEDxRoxbury speaker, founder and president of Beyond the Safety Net, mother of identical twin sons, and proud graduate of the 2025 Victory For Families’ Money Mindset For Moms program.
When she joined the program, Nyesha had a housing voucher but was running out of time to find an affordable home. While experiencing the cliff effect, she saw how public-benefits systems meant to provide stability could instead disrupt a family’s housing and financial security.
That experience deepened her understanding of the importance of lived expertise, clear information, and coordinated community support, principles that now guide her work to strengthen how families are informed, heard, and supported
