💔 EMERGENCY FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED — BONDED SENIOR PAIR 💔

Meet Levi and Queenie — two incredibly sweet senior velcro dogs looking for a soft place to land together after recently losing their owner. Their human passed away, and these babies are grieving and confused, but still full of love. This loss would be hard on any pups, but nearly unbearable for these two 14-year-old seniors.

🐾 Levi — male Yorkie, almost blind
🐾 Queenie — Pomeranian, blind
🐾 Bonded pair — MUST stay together
🐾 Extremely friendly and affectionate
🐾 Professional lap warmers and cuddle experts

These two do not want much from life — just someone kind who will let them curl up beside them and feel safe again. They are calm, loving companions who simply want to be near their person. Within minutes of arriving at the emergency foster, they were trying to climb onto their foster mom's lap.

We are currently providing emergency foster care while working to obtain their medical records. The rescue will provide food and coordinate medical care/appointments as needed. Want to adopt? Fosters get the first option to adopt. There will be no adoption fee with a vet reference and home visit.

We are searching for:
🏡 A long-term foster OR adopter
📍 Possible foster should be within approximately 30 minutes of Harrisonburg, VA
❤️ Someone willing to keep them together

Senior dogs often get overlooked, but they have so much love left to give. Watching them comfort each other through this transition has been heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.

If you think you can help Levi and Queenie, please message the rescue. Even sharing this post could help them find the loving home they deserve.

Wonderful souls waiting to love you.

What do Poppy, Fern, Duke, and Memphis have in common? 🤔

They are all residing in foster homes AND are all ready for adoption! The benefit of adopting a pet who is living in a foster home is knowing more about how they do in a home environment and in different situations outside of the shelter.

RHSPCA currently has 19 fantastic foster dogs ready for adoption. To meet with an animal in foster, simply fill out an adoption application online. We'll reach out to schedule a meet & greet from there to see if it's the right fit! www.rhspca.org/adopt

Not quite ready to adopt? Consider fostering! We have nearly 60 dogs eligible for foster placement, and we'll work with you to find the right match. www.rhspca.org/foster
