On September 29, a young girl by the name of Lindsay Kelley was the victim of teen on teen violence while attending her Massillon Washington high school homecoming. She has been dealing with severe bullying for quite some time now, and it has culminated in this attack which has left her bruised and battered. This has understandably had a profound effect on the family, and especially Lindsay, who now has to live with the trauma which was inflicted upon her. This was brought to our attention through concerned, friends with the hope that we can help to encourage the family and put a spotlight on the brutality of bullying within our school systems. Five students have been charged with assault by the Massillon police department. This coming Sunday  October 18th we are asking anyone who is interested in supporting the family to meet at the Akron first Church of the Brethren whereby we will ride down to the family and spend some time with Lindsey. We are simply going down to show support and to let Lindsay know that she is cared for and supported during this time. We will meet at 2 o’clock kick stands up at 2:30 and then ride down as a group to show our support.  the address is 1812 Marigold Ave., Akron, OH 44301.

Special thanks to The Alliance Church of the Nazarene and their Vacation Bible School kids.. we were their mission project for this year .. In their generosity the kids raised 164$ for our work for Abused, Neglected and Dependent children…God bless them and keep their hearts soft in this often harsh world… kids you rock ! Ps extra special thanks to CBCA member and Youth ministry member Jordan Thurmont for loosing the boy vs girl competition and getting silly stringed !
