New Bristow Village HOA is a diverse and thriving residential community of 570 single family, detached homes and townhomes located on approximately 480 acres in Bristow, VA. The Association became incorporated in 2004 and the builder completed the last home in late spri

ng of 2010. The community is architecturally very “quaint” with large covered front porches on all of the single-family homes, which foster neighbor-to-neighbor interaction. The homes are known for having “19th Century Charm with 21st Century Amenities.”

There are several significant amenities offered to the families of New Bristow Village HOA. The largest and most popular amenity is the stunning community center / clubhouse that is monitored daily by personnel and secured by key fob entry. The community center has a beautifully decorated large sitting room, a full operational kitchen, a billiards/game room, and a well equipped fitness room which are available for use by all community residents. The residents of New Bristow Village HOA can also enjoy a large swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, four dynamic tot lots and several walking/biking trails. In addition to the community center and homes, some of the more eye-catching aesthetics include the three beautifully landscaped sitting parks and the stunning ponds. Two of the larger ponds cover approximately 10 acres of land and both are positioned in the center of the development in a manner that allows multiple homes to enjoy “pond-side” views. Although close to town, the VRE and shopping, the development has a country feel and is located next to the significant 133 acre Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park. The park is the county’s newest Civil War Battlefield Park and is considered one of the treasured open spaces within Prince William Co. Many residents have panoramic views of the park from their homes and several enjoy access to the park from within the community. In recognition of Civil War Battlefield Park, all of the streets within New Bristow Village are named for either people or events that occurred during the Civil War. In 2010, New Bristow Village HOA earned the prestigious CAI Community of the Year Award for Large Communities. The Management of the HOA

This impacts our community!!!

Would love to see as many people as possible at this meeting. This is regarding the land in the Town of Nokesville, that will potentially change the Towns landscape forever. The parcel of land is 130 acres and per the PWC Comp plan, that turns the Town of Nokesville into a “Village”, and could allow up to 520 homes. Our roads and schools can’t handle this type development. If just each home had 2 cars, that would put an additional 1,040 cars on Fitzwater Dr. and Aden Rd., that will never be widened. While we can’t stop sprawl, we can hopefully stop high-density development. Hope to see you all there, April 6, at 7pm in the Patriot Highschool Cafeteria.

Stay Off the Ice – Area Waters Unsafe

Our area rarely produces ice of the quality and thickness necessary for safe outdoor recreation; therefore, recreation on local ice is riskier than in northern climates. Ice that is formed during a continuous, hard freeze typical of northern climates is much stronger than ice formed during temperatures that repeatedly fluctuate above and below the freezing mark.

Stay off the Ice! Ice can deteriorate four times faster than it forms; its suitability for recreational purposes is often overestimated. Should an individual or animal fall into icy waters, moderate to severe hypothermia can occur in less than 10 minutes. Therefore, the primary challenge for rescuers is time.

Icy Water Safety Tips
If someone falls through the ice, you should:
1) Call 911 immediately.
2) DO NOT go onto the ice to rescue them.
3) Safely reach out to the victim by providing them with something that will help them stay afloat.

The Prince William County Fire and Rescue System urge residents that if you see anyone on the ice, highly recommend they get off the ice; it’s not safe. This includes animals; do not allow your animals to walk on the ice. Ice recreation is best sought on skating rinks, pavilions, or other locations specifically designed for that purpose and not the dangerous, naturally occurring ice that forms on area waters.
